Turkey - Suicide bombers detonate explosives at airport, 28 June 2016

I think becasue of all the hassle flying has become globally, people have to go into hyper focus mode just to get on an airplane!! I dont think too people will even notice, but much less think about taking "time " to "do" anything!

Agree, but would add it's their religion, islam, which of very small percentage of that faith provide justification for murder. moo

Or to put it another way , all this rheortric about "banning" any religous segment , of any religion in and of itself, (outside our contstionial freedoms), is not going to do anything but aliganate any population further, resulting in more death, destruction and despair globally.

Talk about a simplisitc and IMO, moronic "solution" to the issue ! Jeeez, the reality that it seems many believe will work, is actually more scary. Building walls, or prohbiting entry any where only makes it more difficult to breach, not impossible, while pis#ing off more.

It also, results in , apparently, Americans "blaming" entities outside of our borders, giving us reasons to do nothing about all the ills that are totally in our arena only.

Think prohibation. Think weed. Never has worked in the past ............

I think more than low single digits is concerning so to me a very high percentage support suicide bombings.

Non-USA

USA--only 81% think suicide bombings are never justified (Question 90):

'Be pro-active, be informed and be prepared': Travel in an uncertain world
'No adventure will ever be satisfying or fun if we don't feel safe,' says travel specialist

Yearning for a journey abroad? Somewhere across windswept oceans, far away from the daily grind?

Sometimes these kinds of big dreams can be deflated before takeoff, when the reality that the world can be a wildly uncertain place sets in.

Personal safety and the safety of family and travel companions is a top priority for most, so finding that sweet spot between adventure and security is vital.

Then something like this week's attacks on Turkey's busiest airport happens: shootings and bombings that took at least 43 lives, maybe more in coming days. The carnage followed horrific mass killings in places like Nairobi, Orlando, Paris and Brussels, all in very recent memory.

The point is that terrible things can happen anywhere, any time. That's the truth, unsettling as it may be.
