Chief Judge Belvin Perry said today that jailhouse video of Casey Anthony's response upon learning that the remains of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee Marie were found in the woods near her home in December 2008 must be released.

That is what I thought, thank you. When we state it correctly, that this is Caseys reaction to remains, not yet identified as Caylees, being found, it presents a much more accurate picture of her reaction.

I have visions of this being one big dud when it's actually shown. Kind of like Geraldo and Al Capone's vault.

So many people have been waiting so long to see this that I hope for their sake that it's worth the wait. But I dunno...

It is very short and you are seeing her from the side. You cannot see her face at all.

Saw some captured still shots apparently from video. Looks like camera is behind a screen which is more visible than FKC is. Shows JB coming in with jacket on, sitting in front of her with jacket on and then with jacket off. Don't know when jacket came off.

I think they had to film a tv monitor to get her reaction and that is why it is so grainy.

When Judge Strickland sealed this tape, it was so that Casey could get a fair trial. This videotape showed a HUGE consciousness of guilt at that time since all that was stated was that remains of a small child had been found. It will be obvious I imagine once I see the video that Casey immediately knew it was Caylee, indicating Casey knew Caylee was dead, and that she was in that swamp.

This tape would have more of an impact if Casey had not admitted in the opening statement that she knew all along, since June 16, that Caylee had "drowned" in the pool. When this tape was sealed, Casey was still saying that Caylee had been kidnapped by ZFG, and that Casey was completely innocent of everything and had no idea where Caylee was.

Now that JB has stated in the opening statement that Casey had known all along that Caylee was dead, the video does not have that much of an evidentiary impact. It will still be interesting to see, but IMO will not have the same impact it had before she admitted she held a dead Caylee in her arms while GA was screaming at her.
