Twins Have Different Dads

OMG... was he happy to have one out of two or just pleased he would only have one support to pay?

This is just amazing to me!

He was happy to only have to pay child support for one instead of two. He was one of those dads that insisted 100% that he could not be the father.

I remember hearing this happen YEARS ago. I think I saw it on Dateline maybe.

Anyway, Mom had twins, one was white and one was black, they were faternal twins.
Turned out that the mom who was white and married to a white man, had sex with a black man while she was separated from her husband, but she was still having sex with her husband too. DNA tests were done and the man that she had an affair with was trying to get custody of the black twin. Meanwhile, the mom and her husband reconciled and they were fighting the custody because they didn't want the twin brothers to be separated.

I'm not sure how it turned out. I remember thinking that her husband must be one he!! of a guy, he was willing to love, care and fight for the one twin that wasn't even biologically his.

I'll try to google and find it because now I want to know what happened!

Ha! That's the first thing I thought of - cats!

When you think about it, it probably didn't "happen" with humans because of several factors:
1) women were not as apt to be bagging several guys in one night back in the day
2) If she did she won't broadcast it
3) they didn't really DNA test to find out who was baby daddy for the $$$$ in child support

Interesting thing to have to explain to your twins.

They're neither identical nor fully fraternal so what would they be called?

Whoopsy Twins?:bang:

Wow! I never thought of that justthinkin. What would they be considered? Technically they're half brothers (that share the same birthday???).

We have often wondered if this is the case with my sisters. I know that sounds absolutely awful-but they always looked like they could only be half sisters, at the most.

When I was in undergrad school, I met these two really brilliant siblings. I didn't know if they were half- siblings or step-siblings or what, just that they rode to school in the same car and had the same last name.We had many classes together. One day, I asked them which one was older, because they looked the same age and were in the same college level classes.

The girl was our homecoming queen. The boy played football. They were so nice and friendly- very popular.

They laughed and told me they were twins. The girl was white, the boy was black.
One day in Biology class, they " revealed' their relationship to the Prof., who was totally at a loss for words until he explained multiple ovulation and fertilization.

This was before IVF. The twins were conceived naturally.
I imagine that they both have very successful lives. :)
They were stand outs in every sense of the word, each in his/ her own right.

You know as odd as it sounds I have heard of this happening before, but I can't remember the details, but it was in the news at the time too.

I'm with smart blonde, I wouldn't be telling on myself to the media...lordy be.

I read a story where twins were born but one was white and one was black and so the mom knew they had two different dads. I thought the story was a phony cause it was in the Inquirer or something like that. Maybe it was true.

I wonder what made this mom think the babies had two different dads? Were they different nationalitys or the same? I'd like to hear her reason for wanting DNA done.
