Twitney Spears enters rehab! Threads Merged

Patients who shave their heads due to cancer treatment do this because the hair thins out and is splotchy. It is better to have a clean surface for wigs or no wigs without the sparse hair that is left. This is for those of you who do not understand.

Brittany couldn't/wouldn't understand this JMO from every bit of past actions on her part. To even try and put her in the same situation/category isn't right. She had a hissy fit and acted out and then went and got another tattoo. Granted she is suffering from extreme entitlement and that should be treated.

She isn't a cancer patient fighting for her life she is a 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 trying to destroy it and take along her children with her stupidity. JMO.

Obviously, not a fan.

A few things I've read since this occurred:

* Britney's aunt recently died of cancer and she is very upset about it

* Britney has had problems for some time with hair breakage and losing patches of hair from lots of processing

* Isaac Cohen, the guy she dated for several weeks, went to a tabloid recently and "told all"

* Psychologists have said that alot of women react to devastating issues by altering themselves in such a way that they will be unattractive to the opposite sex

* Hairdressers have said they see drastic hair changes in women who are in distress, especially after broken relationships

This gal seems to be in dire straits, imo. I don't think she could plea for "help" any louder, unless she borrows Ty Pennington's megaphone. JMO!

OMG!?

It's posts like this that encourage people to make comments about mental illness like the ones we have been seeing in the mental illness threads!! It's posts like this that keep the stigma associated with Bipolar alive and well! :behindbar

Sorry, but it's NOT obvious, to me, that Britney is manic, Carpe Pacem!

She may not be "manic" but she's spiraling out of control. She gets drunk almost every night of the week and she seems miserable. It may not have anything to do with mental illness, but the girl is deeply troubled.

I didn't say the girl/woman isn't screwed up- that's obvious. I said it doesn't look at ALL to me like she's manic.

People can act like jerks and screw up their lives and perhaps even the lives of their children and not be mentally ill.

Just sayin' :)

<< but maybe PPD is an underlying cause to the bizarre behaviour she's exhibited since Jayden was born.>>

Someone said this in the other Brits thread, talk about make excuses for her.

Hi OLG! I've been reading (and generally commenting) on the mental illness thread you're refering to, and I totally agree with you.

With no offense to the OP, just the name of this thread tells a person what the general view of Britney Spears' behavior is. She's acting out for reasons only she identify due to stressors only she can name, but the world at large feels they can diagnose her based on some pictures and a few media pieces.

She may be emotionally unstable at this point, but that doesn't mean she is mentally ill or a danger to herself or others. She shaved her head. She didn't sever a limb. She lives larger than life so maybe she decided to make a gesture that's larger than life.

And maybe she is heading toward a bottom brought on in part by drug and alcohol use (or abuse), but so are lots of other folks. They act out in far scarier, more perilious ways, but because they are average Joes, nobody but their loved ones (and local LE) know about it.

I'm not being snarky or attacking anyone. I'm just adding MHO.

mmhmm *nodding my head* No wonder there are people that think mental illness isn't real. If Britney shaving her head and spending her nights getting drunk and never being seen with her children is "manic" than I suppose I have a case of misdiagnosis on my hands and should fire the shrinks and go off my meds!

Edited to take out the last comments because after re-reading it really came out sounding bitchy and that I was directing it at the person who said Britney seems manic. I didn't mean for it to come out that way- sorry!!

Um, I'm not quite sure how you can say that, she is a total mess- she drinks takes drugs passes out in nightclubs- she certainly seems like a danger to herself to me...she is her own worst enemy and pretty much anything could happen to Brits at this point, let's hope her story doesn't end up like ANS's.

I mean danger to herself in the legal sense that she could be placed in a mental health facility because she is actively suicidal. I'm not saying she won't cause herself (or someone else) harm, I just mean that her recent actions do not qualify as violent enough behavior to justify an in-patient stay. Rehab is another matter.

Oh ok got it :)

She definitely needs rehab, one day- what an effort! way to recover Brits.

No offense taken... and your honest opinion makes a good point. I should have taken better care when I posted the thread.

I do want to add a general comment on rehab. I wonder how any celebrity is able to do a successful rehab stint when they live over-the-top lives with handlers and entourages and hangers-on. Real sobriety (at least with a twelve step program) requires genuine humility and self examination to work. You need to see how your addiction makes your life unmanagable. If everyone in your direct path tells you that you're fabulous, how do you ever see where your behavior is actually self-destructive and unstable? Makes me glad I'm poor and anonymous rather than rich and famous.

Must be hard for the celeb's Wifey, that's for sure.

If you hear something long enough- you end up believing it.

O/T but kinda on the subject, Robbie Williams went in to rehab again last week, this was his survival method re being rich and famous
36 expresso's, 12 red Bulls, 2 packets of silk cut cigga's and the old happy pills.....in a day!
Their self indulgence will ultimately end up killing them...

Even though I dont think Brits is mentally ill, she is just the type to try and top herself.

Robbie Williams as in Harry Potter movies Robbie Williams (can't remember the character's name--time to re-read the books)? He's a big boy. He'd be quite a handful to handle with all those stimulants churning thru his system.

Sorry! No more O/T comments.
