A jawbone found in Galveston County TX in 2004 has the height and weight of 5'8 and 205 pounds (matching him) and blond hair, blue eyes (matching him) listed. Do they maybe estimate this is his remains but don't have the DNA to prove it.

Maybe not, though. Swimsuit Boy had spina bifida. Spina bifida in terms of an autopsy can potentially cause the decedent to appear younger than he actually was. Some people will have spina bifida and not even know they have it.

There is an arrival record in San Antonio in 1961 for an Edward Harlan. This may or may not be him but, if it is, it suggests another possibility as this Edward Harlan was born in Mexico and is shown as having a permanent address in Mexico having boarded in Monterrey. Could he have returned to Mexico? This is entirely speculative as there are other possible record matches for US born matches, albeit none that are entirely convincing.
