Just got this notification from AP, "Officials: Air Force didn't submit Texas church shooter's criminal history to FBI, as required by Pentagon rules."

Somebody screwed up BIG TIME.

This is big.
The public needs to keep pressure on the Air Force for this mistake. It can’t be kept quiet.
We need to demand accountability & culpability on this.

Does anybody know if this is significant?

Martin also released more specifics about Kelley's outfit. He was dressed in all-black tactical gear, a ballistic vest and wore a black mask with a white skull on it during the shooting.

Its just the last paragraph I'm referring to..
The black mask with the white skull.
Is that a uniform of some description?

Devin Kelley is a mine field for red flags. He has a lot of red flags like Omar Mateen, Adam Lanza, Seung-Hui Cho, Eric Harris, Elliot Rodger, and Stephen Paddock.

A friend of mine told me once that men who choke women during domestic violence episodes are statistically more likely to eventually kill them. I need to look into this myself and see if this is the case. Here's one more to add to the studies, if so.

I've also seen this stated somewhere. I believe I found it on https://ucr.fbi.gov/ucr-publications while researching DV stats after there was an arrest in the Savannah Gold case.

ETA: Here is a link with easier access to essentially the same info. Trying to find a specific stat on the other is like trying to find the back of your earring on the bottom of the Atlantic sea floor.

It's scary. Someone used a mask like that a few years ago after murdering a woman and using her ATM card.

starting to wonder if he had hospitalizations while in the army

Air Force, but I wonder too. Maybe that had something to do with how he was treated?

And we all know these are red flags, right? So why are they constantly being missed?

This is beyond disturbing...

The Department of Defense has reported only one domestic violence case to the federal database for gun purchase background checks, records show.

The authorities in Comal County, which includes Mr. Kelley’s hometown, New Braunfels, also released records on Monday that showed Mr. Kelley had been the subject of an investigation for sexual assault and rape by force in 2013. The investigation ended without the filing of any charges.

Texas church shooter Devin Patrick Kelley served in Air Force, was court-martialed for assaulting wife, child
http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/11/06/texas-church-shooting-who-is-gunman-devin-patrick-kelley.html

Somethings jumped out.

A former middle school classmate told Fox News that Kelley would complain about his parents and medications during school.

“His parents had him on high doses of ‘psych’ meds from 6th to 9th grade, the time I knew him,” said the student, who only wished to be identified as Reid.

“He recently added me on [Facebook]. I accepted hence we went to school together, and any time I saw him on my timeline he was sharing stuff about guns and being atheist,” she said. “He was pretty negative. The last post I remember was of a rifle.”

I am not surprised that Devin Kelley is a constant complainer. They are very negative. A too familiar thing we see in mass killers, terrorists, and bullies.

Websleuth Radio Interview Tina Meier
http://www.blogtalkradio.com/websleuths/2013/09/30/tricias-true-crime-radio-adult-cyber-bullying

It starts at the 20:40 mark. Tina Meier's description of Lori Drew is very similar to Devin Kelley, Stephen Paddock, Sayfullo Saipov, Omar Mateen, Eric Harris, Andrew Kehoe, Elliot Rodger, Adam Lanza, Seung-Hui Cho, and Osama bin Laden.

Chatter amongst other students on Facebook who say they knew Kelley suggested he had a volatile relationship with his parents.

One student said Kelley used to tell her about issues with his dad, while another said they watched Kelley verbally abuse his parents.

Kelley was also a member of his high school’s football team, Reid said. One student said Kelley’s father would go “crazy” if Kelley messed up on the field.

There appears to be some issue with the father. We should hear more about his childhood. I know many mass killers, terrorists, and bullies have very poor relationship with parents and siblings.

From “Military Skullart, July 22, 2014”.....

The Punisher’s popularity among United States military personnel is evidenced by the incorporation of the character’s distinctive skull symbol into artwork generated within the military, most notably by the United States Navy’s Sea, Air, Land Teams (“Navy SEALs”) and the United States Army’s 24th Infantry Regiment. There is a long tradition – dating back to colonial times – of American military personnel using skull imagery in officially unauthorized-but-allowed insignia artwork. The Punisher’s fans in the military continue this tradition with the creation of unit insignia based on the character’s skull symbol.

Perhaps this is the skull symbol called “The Punisher” noted in the movie about Seal teams of a famous Americans sniper?

At this point has anyone said where DK's current wife and child are at or their condition? I went through a situation 30 years ago and my church helped my kids and I escape my husband (at the time). He always threatened to kill my family if I tried to leave him. The church menfolk kept him occupied setting up tables for a special dinner while a few members were transporting us (supposedly at home), 40 miles away. When he started figuring out what was up they tried to stop him from leaving and he jumped over the tables and attacked my pastor and one of the elders. They got him under control and LE was involved but for 2 months the church and my family wouldn't tell him where we were at. I guess I'm wondering if the church helped to hide DK's wife and child. Had my ex been able to access a gun, I'm afraid a similar tragedy could've happened at my church.

I'm not trying to make this about me, there's just so many 'triggers' following this shooting.

I'm sure you're extremely grateful to have that all behind you. Churches that actively assist spouses in making a break do a very good thing, saves many lives for sure . I do wonder if the church members were supportive here as well. As the MIL had received threatening text messages, perhaps they were protecting their daughter by taking her away to someplace safe. They certainly couldn't have predicted the horrid outcome.

"Kelley was involved in a domestic dispute with the family of Danielle Shields, a woman he married in 2014, and the situation had flared up, according to officials and public records.

"There was a domestic situation going on within the family and the in-laws," Mr Martin said outside the church.

"The mother-in-law attended the church … she had received threatening text messages from him."
http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-11-...y-shouldnt-have-been-able-to-buy-guns/9125384

"Mr. Kelley was finally discharged from the Air Force in 2014. He married Ms. Shields in April that year. Law enforcement officials described their relationship this week as “estranged.”
