  • #21

Hi Missiemt, I think you're onto the right answers here. Sounds like something has happened to the female. What concerns me, is why the child was never seen, even with the female, who would have been a part in the childs abuse. But the female may be dead. This child might not even be related, geez, good sleuthing you guys.

I'm wondering if the reason no one ever saw this child is because of noticible injuries this man and woman wanted to keep hidden.
The fact that the womans car was left behind does make me wonder if something happened to her. If the little girls father was not involved in any of this I HOPE he will step up and be a good influence in her life, if not, then I hope she can find a good loving home!

Do we know if/when anyone last saw the woman/mother/parental unit? I hope this lil angel has the verbal skills to relate what she saw. Remember Blake (Jessies Son)? He was about her age..of course it will probably take a little while for her to come out of the shock she is probably in from being in that bathroom..

Just watched the video, they are saying the apartment was abandoned!

I took the headline "Abandoned" to mean that the child had been abandoned, not the apartment. Now I am wondering if this means that the poeple had actually moved from the home and left her there alone. Confusing.

Froggie, where are you? We need a local snooper.

After Patience, this makes me wonder if it is not a similar case.

The father of the child should know who the mother is and if that is actually her vehicle left behind. This should clear up the possibility she was kidnapped and not related to the people in the apartment. I am sure LE will look deeply into the father's whereabouts and what connection he could have to the abuse.

They need to get sketches and the names of the people living in the apartment out to the public as soon as possible! The fact the child was not seen by others is quite troubling and I think does point directly to the abuse. When the couple was without her...who was with her or was she with the father? There are so many questions and so few answers.

I would like to know why LE spoke with the "father?" on the phone but did not haul his butt in right away or demand that he come tot he station for further questioning

Have they said if there's another car to be looking for?

My thoughts exactly. Surely if LE didn't know exactly the where abouts of the father, they traced the call.

The father may live in a different city. It has been said that the man in the apartment was not the childs father.

I did read that but I took that to mean that they spoke with the man from the apartment and determined that he was not the father as I read later that they were trying to determine the biological father they could not have spoken with him on the phone if he was not yet determined. Can anyone clarify?

Where's Sipowitz when we need him? Somebody needs to scare the pee outa this dude 'til he comes up with something better than "I dunno!"!

If we could get someone who lives at those apartments to snoop around I'm sure someone... maintenance, painter, leasing agent's neighbor etc. would give up a name or two. For that matter, they could probably just walk in to the office and strike up a conversation to get the scoop. I can't imagine that management would be too worried about offending the renter by giving out his name. After all, he won't be paying his rent from jail!

Speaking of rent, I wonder if the rent had been paid for October? Maybe he killed the woman and moved out and left the girl.

According to an unnamed member of law enforcement and definitely off the record (we had coffee and talked about it), they spoke to the woman and she is not coming near the police station on her own. I couldn't get it out of him, if she was the Mother of the child, too many ears around us. So I doubt the woman has come to any harm, just scared of the consequences of her actions.

In any case, I hope the child is placed in a good home and adopted. And not like the case where the itch of a woman made the kid drink Zattarain's and killed him. A really good and decent home. One they check, double check, triple check and continue to check.

Having no information to go on is so frustrating were there no personal affects in the apartment? No pictures of the couple living there? If there is a woman in danger they need to get it out there so that we can start looking right away! I wonder if someone called the apartment office if they would release the names of the adults living there

Ah I posted before I saw Froggy's reply scratch what I just said another case of a woman who should not be allowed to bear children.....

I wonder what the odds are that this woman will serve any jail time.

I would also like to know, if the man living there is not the father, where is he? Are there reasons that they would not place the child with him?

Thanks Froggie!

I still don't understand why they don't go find her and arrest her. Are they seriously waiting for her to come turn herself in?

Um, you're lookin a bit sleepy Froggie. I think you need some more coffee, maybe a donut or two with your unnamed friend.;)

I wish I could, but I am gonna have to wait until tomorrow morning to go and be nosey. And that's if I can postpone my outing until Thursday. I promised my mom and grandma a drive to San Antonio to go to the Christmas Outlet. Grandma wont remember but my mom sure doesn't forget, so I think I am stuck.

I think our town is back azzwards anyway. The police chief gets charged with sex assault on a woman he is dating outside of his marriage, he appears on tv, says I'm sorry and it seems to dissappear.

Border Patrol's office is on a road known for shady motels full of illegals and next to businesses that hire illegals and yet they don't pick anyone up around there?

They payed 200,000 for graffitti removal and hired people to do it instead of making the gang bangers they arrest do some community service and save some tax payer dollars.

They find animals mutilated in the Ag barn over and over and yet can't put up a camera or get some decent security?

When a sex offender fails to give his correct address and you notify them, they tell you, you are harrassing the poor guy buy telling them. And do nothing to investigate.

Makes you wonder some days if you aren't in an episode of the Twilight Zone.

The last time I checked, abandoning and abusing a child was against the law. So what else is going on with this case keeping LE from arresting the parents?
