GUILTY TX - Adrian Peterson for child abuse, The Woodlands, 2014

From your link, Blondie in Spokane:

(snip)

At the hearing, Montgomery County First Assistant District Attorney Phil Grant listed a series of incidents he argued illustrated Case's bias against prosecutors, including: Case calling each lead attorney in the Peterson case a "media 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬" and Case having been represented in a prior court case by one of the attorneys on Peterson's legal team.

Grant tried to present additional evidence about a history of bias between the DA's office and Case over legal disagreements the two sides have had in recent years. But Walker didn't allow it, ruling the DA's office had failed to bring these issues up in a timely manner.

-----

So, it was that the reasons were valid, but that they didn't meet a deadline, in the Court's opinion?

Well, one can only hope that now that these issues are on the record, that His Honor will rule with due diligence. As I said upthread, AP is used to being coddled, and having things his way. Having a judge pave the way for him is par for the course. This ruling is just another day in the life of AP :sigh:

When will someone step up and place the health, safety and welfare of the children who are rotating in and out of his life --- first?

Seriously......

:moo:

One interesting thing is many of these "millionaires" cannot speak the English language correctly (although born and raised in the US), yet they somehow attended college and were eligible to play. How's that for the state of education?

Actually, I'm aware of two college athletes (not football) who were always ensured to be eligible to participate in sports. One guy wouldn't get out of bed to go to class so the coach sent an escort each morning. His classes were also ridiculously easy with just enough credits to keep him eligible. (He did not graduate.) Another was minimally eligible, again never graduated. In fact, the second one was a star athlete in h.s., but only one college would take him because of his low grades and minimal intellectual ability. (He was a star athlete for his college - go figure.) I wonder what these two guys are doing today.

The high school I attended was very much focused on sports, the athletes were provided tons of leeway in academics to keep them on the team, they were provided with tutors, anything to keep them from failing. I remember my sophomore year in HS we were reading aloud in literature class and got to one of the football players and I wanted to cry for him, he couldn't read. My daughter at 4 years old read better. I've always wondered how he got along in life not being able to read.

No one from my high school even played college sports, they just weren't that good, none got scholarships or anything, but high school sports were huge. smh

Hennepin Co MN has a legal order stating AP can only see his son (and daughter) with someone else present. However, TX said he can resume the relationship with his son. All AP needs to do is to fly his son/daughter to TX. The MN order means nothing.

The only salvation in the plea deal is the NFL "isn't buying it." AP has not been reinstated.
