Found Safe TX - Aiden Jones, 22 mos, Del Rio, 31 Aug 2017

Aiden Colton, 11 months old, is 24 inches tall and has brown hair, hazel eyes and was last seen wearing a white baseball shirt with blue sleeves, camo shorts and shoes. The suspect is Daniel Eugene Jones, 48. The 5 feet, 10 inches tall, bald and has blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a black star wars shirt, blue jeans and white shoes. Jones is believed to be driving a gray 1998 Chevrolet Silverado with a Texas temporary plate. He was last heard from in Del Rio.

I see Jones is the same last name. I thought Aiden's last name was Colton. Colton is his middle name. Hope he is found soon and safe.

I asked a mod to update the title. Initial reports were that he was 11 months old and named Aiden Colton. MSM reports after that claimed he is 22 months old and called Aiden Colton Jones.

It appears that Daniel Eugene Jones is the grandfather.

Police are looking for a gray 1998 Chevrolet Silverado four-door pickup with a temporary license plate. The pickup may have possible damage on the left side with red paint transfer.

That's strange. I was thinking he was the father.
I don't recall a case of a grandfather abducting a grandchild and harming them.
Hopefully this won't be the first. I have a boy that age.

Male is accompanied by his two-year-old grandson. Male is believed to be mentally unstable and armed. Male may be en route to the area of Midland,TX- Odessa, TX.
An Amber Alert has been activated for precautionary measures on the child.

AMBER ALERT UPDATE:
US Marshal Service and Midland Police Department SWAT team located Daniel Eugene Jones in Midland, TX. Jones was arrested at approximately 2:05 p.m. for an outstanding arrest warrant for the offense of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon / Family Violence obtained by Del Rio Police Department Detective, Jesus Galindo. The child was located and is now in custody of Midland Police Department pending release to family member. Jones was taken into custody with no incident
