No, maybe there were none. It's possible I'm just misinterpreting things.

I wonder if depression would count as a very broadly taken version of intellectual disability. Like he is not in a right frame of mind and there is a possibility he could be a danger to himself? Maybe LE has a leeway, some kind of discretion while interpreting this category?AW was classified as an endangered missing person. *If* the right designation was issued, the only explanation I can think of is early onset of a cognitive disorder. This seems incongruent to his demanding work role, but who knows. So many unknowns in this sad case.AW was classified as an endangered missing person. UPDATE: DPD Special Investigations takes over Alan White case - Dallas Voice

I think that's what many assumed, but in TX the designation doesn't seem to cover that. JMO.I wonder if the 'endangerment' came from an outside source, and that was one of the details we don't know.....
Endangerment to his life.....
I read similar Mr. Teddy, and that seems to disagree with what the DPD website (per post upthread) says. Perhaps they use the category as a catch all. Seems odd.Marisela Botello was upgraded the same one month after she went missing, same as Alan. The article says “endangered missing, means law enforcement suspects the missing person is endangered or the victim of criminal activity.”
1 Month After Marisela Botello Last Seen In Deep Ellum, Detectives Change Status To 'Endangered Missing'
The article says “endangered missing, means law enforcement suspects the missing person is endangered or the victim of criminal activity.”
Thinking about this... maybe they used the term "endangered missing" to generally classify the case and get it looked at by criminal investigators, but it didn't technically meet the requirements for an endangered missing person "alert". I thought it was a beautiful tribute to Alan. He has so many people that love him and he sounds like an amazing man. I was getting very emotional listening to his friends. RIP Alan. So tragic and sad.My thoughts are with Alan's loved ones~ such beautiful tributes.
I didn’t sense that at all either. MOOI didn't sense that, but maybe I missed the signals. JMO.
The car being backed into its discovered location is one factor that gives me pause and causes me to suspect foul play. The person who parked it must have intended to hide the license plate from easy detection.
