(I don't think we're supposed to be sleuthing the neighbors, or at least not posting their biographical details. The sheer number of red trucks in the area makes it hard, I know.)

That said...google street view makes me motion sick. (I know, I know.) Are you guys looking around the dump site also? There was talk of a red truck on Cindy Lane at the home of an RSO.

Funny, I looked this up earlier....the male member of the household was/is a postal worker. Whitepages and fb are my friends.

That might be a familiar person to her if he has her address route.

In my defense, my intention wasn't to sleuth the neighbors, it was to sleuth the neighbor's window treatments, and possibly some questionable bird-poo! ;)

What is the approx. address where she was found?

While police have no suspects at this time, they continue to search for a red truck with a softball-sized splatter of green paint on the rear passenger side. The vehicle was spotted in the area where the girl’s body was found on Monday. Anyone with information about this case is urged to contact the authorities at 682-888-3682 or 682-888-3684. The FBI is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.

Sorry, I didn't mean the google view/truck stuff. :)

No worries, I was teasing you and poking fun at myself. I actually was waiting for Bessie to smack me upside the head for, uh, sleuthing window treatments and bird poo. :slap:

Sorry...I absolutely know it's in the thread, but I don't know where. Someone will probably come along with it soon.

This article says she was naked. I thought she had purple panties on.

I have a feeling we have full bird poo amnesty.

It's been reported both ways. Unfortunately there are varying sources about the state of the tarp/Alanna's remains, and I think none of them are LE.

Sure looks like it to me. The google car was in my area a week or so ago... like a doofus I just "waved" :D

It is a great picture of you, though! :D

(J/K....:giggle:)

A couple of thoughts on the red truck...As in another case I am following closer to home, seems reasonable that if someone was driving a truck that matched the description in the area in question, around the time in question, they would either a) call LE themselves if innocent or b) hide or alter the truck's appearance if they were not. Altering in this case could be as easy as scrubbing off whatever that green spot was.
Seems everyone in town would have heard about Alanna and the truck by now, and even if they didn't think much of it, you know friends are going to be bringing up the fact that they are driving a very similar truck. Know what I mean?

If no one has been ruled out...LE has no business saying the community should not worry or that a child predator is not at large.

This article says she was naked. I thought she had purple panties on.

I heard purple underwear too....maybe some are reporting her as being nude because she wasn't totally clothed...only guessing. :moo:

Uh-oh.... I believe sleuthing bird poo-poo is against TOS...:tos:

Oh but of course, Mags. We are all just trying to determine the latest window fashions for summer.

The red truck...it looks like it has a bed liner, yes?

This is the big question in my mind, where was he going with the body, if indeed fell from the bed of the truck and was not placed in that location intentionally? The route I've noted on the map would seem the most logical "if" the driver made a left turn onto Cindy Ln from Roundrock Dr., but doing so would have sent him right back to Old Decatur Rd. So what, did he just make the circle? Why? If he would have gone straight after stopping at the Cindy Ln intersection, he would have wound up on Woodcrest Dr. which would have taken him right back to Roundrock or straight back toward Babbling Brook, provided he didn't turn left or right at W McLeroy. Was he just driving in circles? Was Roundrock Dr a necessary route to exit the area of his home or the location where he murdered her or a necessary route to get her body to a secluded location? I really don't think she was placed there intentionally. jmo
