@Saulgarzafox4: Neighbor says the victim's Father knocked on his door asking if he had seen his daughter around 8pm #SaginawMurder

Saul Garza is a local reporter for our Fox station. This was his tweet on July 2.

Thank you for this information...:seeya:

I'm wondering just how often they had to go hunt this child down? Knock on doors trying to track her down? Was it often? One of the parents made a comment about her "always" doing that,

I just assumed what was meant was not coming home on time.

We were told through MSM that MM is the biological father and KG is on the birth certificate.

I don't personally think the biology matters because they were both her fathers.

Having seen the pictures of MM with Alanna, she looks JUST LIKE him. So I don't doubt that. :twocents:

I agree with this to a point. Yes a dui or a petty theft, then locals might turn their head but I don't know that any town would knowingly protect a baby killer.
Key word, knowingly, it could be there are people in this perp's circle of friends/ family who think WOW he is an oddball, but there's no way he did something like this.

Oh yes they will protect a baby killer.
77 days in jail for beating, burning, torturing a BABY for 100+ days.

The judge knew her daddy. I would call that protecting a baby killer personally. :banghead:
She did less time in jail than the time she spent torturing that baby to death.
I certainly haven't seen outrage from the town either. :stormingmad:

Sorry if this has been covered already, but if you watch the video, there is a first-hand description, which says a bag was on her head and red tape was around the bag "like it was sealed" at 2:55 or so.

Also, there is video of the search warrant list that you can at least partly read. It includes 4 vacuumings and a 4-pack of Charmin ultra soft. And red tape, as has been the topic of discussion.

Why the TP? I'm wondering now if the perp quieted her with a wad of tp. Oh, I just hated typing that. But what else could the evidentiary value of tp be in a crime such as this?

In fact... We do not know if this is the FIRST door he knocked on... So the dad may have started looking earlier...

Is the local media covering it? It seems so odd to me that law enforcement doesn't seem to want or need the publics help in any way shape or form.

No longer looking for a vehicle, people acting strangely nothing not a peep? All the encouraging people not to worry about it...

From the below article, published yesterday:

"Investigators say the family is not suspected, and they believe the case will be an isolated incident."

Read more here: http://www.star-telegram.com/2013/07/07/4986461/funeral-for-murdered-saginaw-6.html#storylink=cpy

I don't think LE would want to go on record saying several times that the family was cleared, not suspected, etc....and then have to explain themselves later. If parents were suspects, they probably would simply stick with "everyone is a suspect" line. Can we back off the parents now? As someone pointed out a few days ago, they are victims of this, too. I'm sure they feel horrible enough without the Court of Public Opinion charging them with bad parenting - as if they allowed this or deserved it?

That said, the second half of the quoted statement is what is really bothering me: HOW do you know this will be/is an isolated incident? Ugh.......

Both of these are very good points...:thumb:

There is info on this somewhere,

Two different reports. One that the child was last seen at 4 and another that days that the child was seen at 5. A poster on here said that the LE reported the 4 time. It is on here somewhere.

I have also read two different stories,

They were all home.

And KG, who is not the bio father, came home at 8.

Perhaps someone has more solid info to share?

I have noticed the two inconsistent reporting that KG was home with the rest of the whole family that day... And that he came home from work later in the day...

ETA... In fact... I don't recall an MSM article actually stating he came home from work... Maybe we assumed this?

:dunno:

I guess you're better at your job than anyone who would go looking for them first, then.

Anyway, it doesn't seem that everyone here is affording them the same benefit of the doubt regarding why they didn't report until later.

It's not that I have doubt. Just trying to nail down what was customary, the norm for this family and piece together a timeline.

Another case in a small town I can think of where residents protected the killer was the West Memphis Three case. They convicted three teenagers, who were released from jail about 2 years ago. I have a feeling that people in West Memphis know who really did it, but they sent the goth teenagers to jail instead...

I agree, just thought I'd throw this out there, thought it might be informative for some cases, and just a slight possibility in this one.

All ideas welcome... In my own opinion! :seeya:

Two locals commented saying that one news channel just had a blip about the case, and another didn't say anything about it. I guess with nothing happening, and LE not talking, there's nothing to report. It makes me think LE wants the case to fade out of the news. If they wanted it all over the media, because they needed help from the public, they would be doing press conferences and news releases.

Sometimes LE takes things totally not related. maybe they just removed everything from the car.

The teenagers confessed many times to many people.

Which says what? They have their sights set on someone? Waiting for tests to come back? Actively working at putting a case together to make an arrest?

Or they don't care

I'll never believe its because they don't care.

Do we know if they're still interviewing neighbors?

If LE thought that a predator had abducted and killed Alanna, yet no idea who this predator was, I definitely think they would be communicating with the public more. The case would play out similar to the Jessica Ridgeway case.
