Question:
What time did KG get home?
Any links?
TIA

This article states "no one has been eliminated as suspects."

And they're looking at the parents ... To hopefully exclude them. But they're looking. So now we can talk?

Do you mean KG? I've seen reports of 8pm. Don't know how accurate that is.

If you mean MM, he was there the whole time, IIRC.

Beautiful picture of Alanna at this link. Article is from 2 hours ago but no new info.

From the article....Alanna in a field of purple flowers. Those aren't purple...they're bluebonnets. Every spring, fields and fields of bluebonnets bloom. And, people can be seen everywhere taking pics of their kids in these beautiful flowers.....RIP sweet Alanna

I have a problem with "placed beneath a tarp..." WTH??? Was she or was she not WRAPPED in a tarp that was secured with a belt? This makes it sound as if there was a tarp that was folded up and placed on top of the garbage bag which contained her body and the whole "package" was tied together with a belt. sigh

Here's the actual 911 call.

As far as the computer stuff goes, they're probably also looking to see whether any of the kids had been having unfortunate conversations with strangers, or somebody had been hijacking an inadequately protected webcam, or stuff like that, too.

that doesn't explain why CDs/DVDs, flashdrives, cameras, ipods, game consoles, external hard drives, etc were taken.

they are looking for something very specific. very specific. they have suspicions about something even if they don't mention it.

I like to isolate the direct quotes from LE.

“There’s nothing to indicate that there was mistreatment in the home of these children,” he said.

“Miss Gallagher was bound with some fashion of tape,” Macon said. “It was as much the goal of the search team to retrieve items to exclude the parents as suspects as ... it was to collect items we would consider evidentiary in value. “This, of course, would require taking samples from their residence.”

“The Gallagher/McDaniel family considers Miles as a parent, and we are being considerate of their lifestyle; it’s not our place to offer judgment on them,” Macon said.
“As with any criminal investigation, each of the people closest to the victim is being considered, and their actions investigated.”

“There’s nothing on the list that most people would not have in their home,” he said.

“As I stated to a concerned resident earlier this morning, what we see in TV police shows is not the way trace evidence works in real life,” Macon said.

“The crime lab does not produce results in minutes or hours, but rather in days, weeks and months. We do not expect to see ... any comparative results in less that two weeks, which leaves old-fashioned police work as our primary resource at this time.”

“They have isolated most, if not all, vehicles entering and exiting both neighborhoods on the day of the murder,” he said. “Other investigators have then gone back to the neighborhoods to find the cars seen in the videos.

“It’s not that any one of them is a suspect, it’s simply that we are tracking each car/truck down to verify that they belong in that neighborhood.”

“Again, sometimes it’s better to find exclusions, then work from there,” he said.

This last one is a partial quote:

Macon described the “arm and leg restraints” mentioned in the warrant as novelty items used by adults.

Excuse me for a moment.....but what does "IIRB" and "MOO" mean?

I've figured out MSM, LE, SW, JMO, IMO, and some others......but if there's a link on the site for us "noobs" to reference that you could put in a reply I won't ask these questions again. Thanks!

The parents are still off limits. There is nothing in Macon's statements to indicate the investigation is anything other than routine.

My Own Opinion, and If I Root Beer.

Ok I have no idea what IIRB is.

Parents = parents and extra man living in the home, right?

Hope I'm not breaking rules, but unfortunately I think there's a lot of child porn going on these days: everyone has vid cams, web cams, smart phones. Of further/greater unfortuateness (word?....is now....), as child mol/murder goes - guardians are often involved.

Can't blame them (LE).

Listening to the 911 call, I feel like we can add the poor kids who found Alanna and their parents to the list of victims in this case. Horrible.

For sure. Huge hugs to them with school out, I hope they somehow manage to get counseling to those children.

Forgive me if I have missed the link as I am super behind in this case, but, has there been another search warrant issued for the home?

There was an eyewitness account of something taken away by LE, and it is not on the warrant.

I am having trouble finding the original account of what was taken.

Does anyone know?

You're right, unfortunately. Precisely why it has become a matter of routine to seize electronic communication devices. It says nothing specific about the family or the crime.
