Oh boy, the polyamory aspect is the main part of wfaachannel8's story. GMAB. I think it's weird too but this will detract from what happened to Alanna. JMO

<modsnip>

I don't judge people. If they want to live that way, it doesn't affect me, as long as they leave me out of it. But I just wanted to share that it isn't exactly uncommon.

There's also the other side of it, where the whole "Big Love" setup is not that far out there--LDS/FLDS (sorry Mormons, I know that letter F is a crucial difference) who are quietly practicing polygamy in the suburbs as a matter of faith.

(I don't distinguish or judge one way or another, as long as no child brides are involved, women aren't being denied their own agency in life, and no one is scamming medicaid etc.)

Yeah, it is an unfortunate distraction. I think the best thing the family can do is what they're doing: be straightforward about it, refuse to be shamed, try to get people to see past it and focus on Alanna.

Interesting. Our little 2' deep x 6' wide wading pool has a tarp over when we aren't it because dirt gets in it easily. Plus I rescued a bee out of it w/ our skimmer and the damn thing flew up and stung my face, so nuts to that! I keep it covered! I treat the water so that I don't have to keep dumping it, and can definitely see the tarp having chemical residue on it from the water touching it.

Bad Bee!

Bad, bad Bee!

Is anyone clear on which dad flagged down the police the night she was taken?
MM or KG? And which one is the bio dad?

I tweeted to https://twitter.com/robertmcmurrey and he said MM is the bio dad and I asked how it was verified. He said it was confirmed by a relative. So MM is Bio Dad and KG is Legal Dad

KG flagged down the police car per MSM

I really wish MM would have answered the question about what time he last saw her.

Whoa, Nellie!!

I'm all for being corrected, but DANG!

Per my understanding of OSHA (again, I could be wrong!), red is for "Sharps" (i.e., a needle on a syringe....). You would see these in doc office, most hospital rooms, etc.....

http://www.hercenter.org/rmw/osha-BPS.cfm#comm

Without a "sharp", (i.e., biopsy/cyto/autopsy tissue or most clinical lab samples), orange or red-orange.

Perhaps it's potato/potatoe.....tomato/tomatoe.......

It's all good!! We're on the same team!!

Yes, we are definitely on the same team. :)

I posted a photo of the sticky sealing tape I was referencing about 3 posts up. It is a florescent red which may appear to be reddish orange to some people.
Roll Products 142-0007 PVC Film Biohazard Warning Tape with Black Imprint, Legend "Burn Without Opening" (with Logo), 55yd Length x 2" Width, 3" Core, For Identifying and Marking, Fluorescent Red/Orange (Roll of 55): Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific

Yes, labs use clear bags with an orange symbol, usually, but I was always referencing a type of red tape which is abundant and easy to walk off with without anyone knowing or caring.

The downside of being able to feel a little better about the parents is we still don't have any idea what happened. :(

BioDad (we'll have to come up with some shorthand for this, I'm bad with remembering initials) said she'd asked to go to a friend's. Surely LE knows what friend. They MUST be able to narrow her radius down to within a few houses. Which brings us back to...what if it really was someone who was transient in the neighborhood and just grabbed her off the sidewalk?

Then finding that person will be VERY difficult ..... :(

I just read some of the mothers sites she has commented on. I must say, she certainly sounded like a very loving mother. She must be falling apart at the seams with this.

Ever have to take a 24 hour urine collection specimen to a doctor's office? What color was the bag you put the collection bottle in? RED.

respectfully snipped by me -- it was a green bottle with a white lid, and it went into an aluminum receptacle built into the wall. I think they open it from the inside to move the specimens into the lab.

Maybe not though. Put it out there, let it drop. Shows they have nothing to hide. I'm guessing FBI coached MM on what to say.

I believe we are still not supposed to comment on family's social media (and I am referring to what I'm about to say, not your post!), but I'll just say that reading some of Mom's public journaling was what got me on my current side of the fence.

If they were actively seeking other partners, this might not detract. Maybe someone will call the police tipline if they know spooky information about any other partners.

Hey... That's the best offer I've had in a millennium! :floorlaugh:

Will you take 4 cats and a dog, too? :cat: :wolf:

Cats? Absolutely. Outside dogs only.

(apologies - like many "cat people", not a dog fan)

I didn't see the video (if there was one to go along with that article). Was MD (bio dad) asked this question specifically? tia

I just wanted to add that as small as she was, electrical tape could have been used too. It comes in several colors for color coding wires, and red is a fairly common one (although not as common as black.)

It wouldn't surprise me if LE had asked him not to share that part.
