Do any locals know if they have an ice cream truck in Saginaw? We have one here. I've never seen anyone flag it down.

Speaking of which, I wish someone would create a timeline for us if it hasn't been achieved already. One thing I'm curious about is hydration. I don't know how hot it is there, but it has to be fairly hot. After all, it's July. How long could a little girl stay outside before deciding to head in for a drink or popsicle or something. Not long, I would think. My kids would be parched and thirsty after an hour.

On the day she went missing, it was very cool for this time. I think it was 87-89. That makes it so strange because everyone was outside all day. I can't wrap my head around her body being there. There were people all over enjoying the cool front.

Boys skating in the street did see it eventually and went to move it, and that is when she was discovered.

I think back of how many times I've seen junk in the road, and I don't stop, I just drive around it, thinking it fell off a truck.

I know what you mean, but if I see something on the side of the road in my neighborhood, I stop and look.

Perticia hemorrhage doesn't show in children?

I think petechiae isn't always significant in cases of suffocation... I'm thinking more like in cases of being trapped in a container (such as an old refrigerator). If the body is moved from the container and the ME doesn't know this is what occurred then suffocation is not easily determined during autopsy.

Did that make any sense?

Yes! I don't think it's abnormal for a 6 year old to walk a mile. I do think it's abnormal for one to walk a mile alone.

You don't stage something to appear worse than it actually was. You might stage a murder as an accident. There is no point in staging an accident as a murder.

Certainly not stage an accident to appear as vile and ugly as this one.

I think (again, IMO) that petechial hemorrhage (is that what you meant?) would be apparent.....but as (again, IMO) referenced earlier in this thread: it likely depends on precisely how the asphyxiation occurred.

I walk a half a mile each day and then back, and I have never run into a six-year old walking that far. And it always feels far enough for me, lol. Lots of kids on my street, playing outdoors all the time. Seems far for a child to walk, IMO. But of course, possible.

The ME said Alanna wasn't shot, stabbed or strangled. For some reason he/she didn't mention drowned which could be easily determined in his/her lab. (Pool supplies were taken by LE.)

I thought about those pool supplies as well as testing sample of hot tub water. Was she washed down with chlorine bleach? And/or drowned in a bath tub after the perp was done? There has got to be chlorine of some sort found on her, in some concentration, imo. The smell of chlorine on the skin is sometimes evident on skin even after a shower if you swim in a super chlorinated pool- or in hair. And little ones are not known for using much soap if not assisted by mom. I don't believe this was an accident either

If this was an accident(and I don't believe it was) this has to be one of the most inhumane and disrespectful way to treat a child after death that I have ever heard. Horrible

My kiddo is 4, and we often go on 1-3 mile walks. A slow pace and he is great. We don't power walk, but stop and smell the roses...so to speak.

Maria Montessori said (paraphrase) that a small child can and will walk a mile quite easily if they are allowed to explore at their own pace. :seeya:

To me, this looks like a strap. A Camera strap, a cinch strap, a tow strap. That is what it reminds me of.

when I mentioned locked in a shed or car, I was thinking heatstroke(hyperthermia)
My grandun, about the same age, can easily get in a car, but often finds it difficult to get out, depending on which car & handle. So, hmm.

Quite a few aren't thinking an accident, at another home, that was then staged , etc
BUT what IF something did happen elsewhere, and the person(s) panicked because they are involved in some type of illegal activity themselves or involving the home...and to even call 911 for an emergency would bring about charges/arrest if that activity were discovered.
Back in the day, I associated with ah, some rough folks, who I daresay would have done just that, anything to divert from themselves, to avoid LE around them or in their home. 'Nice, friendly' folks, but callous and cruel, and very CYA

You have NO idea HOW MUCH I and others hope you are correct. Better sooner than later......but I'm learning to temper my hopes. :-(
