Wasn't it said by a pros atty. at CAs trial that people DON'T make ACCIDENTS look like MURDER? :moo:
I just don't see a person killing an accident victim, Imoo.

Dr. Jan Garavaglia, medical examiner who did the autopsy on Caylee's remains, testified that no one makes the accidental death of a child look like a murder. Maybe the prosecutor said it, too, but I remember Dr. G was adamant in her statement.

There was a confirmed sighting of Alanna at approx. 2:30pm.

Soooooo does that mean no one claims to have seen Alanna between 2:30 and 7:15 when her body was discovered? :moo:

No, 2:30 is not right. That was an error. Our verified insider last saw Alanna at noon when the insider and LG left to run errands and then go to the insider's home an hour's drive away. The insider was dropped off at 2:30, and LG returned to her own home at 3:30 or 4:00.

When LG got home, Alanna was not there, MM had already allowed her to go out, to play at a specific unnamed neighbor's home. We don't know what time he last saw her. In his video interview he specifically said he didn't think LE would want him to share that information, and our verified insider says it's not precise anyway, other than that it was between noon, when Alanna was at home doing chores, and 4:00, when LG arrived at home.

So, our timeline can't be any firmer than she was last seen between noon and 4:00.

Unless someone has a link to another confirmed siting. If there is a specific post in the basement, I'd take a link to it, but we can't bring the info up here.

So that's as much as our timeline can include:
Noon: Alanna at home doing chores
4:00 Alanna not home, has gone to a specific neighbor's home. (Who we later learn was not at home anyway)

Regarding the timeline, I just noticed this:

“We’re trying to establish when she was last seen,” Macon said. “We’re also trying to determine when the tarp was first seen because we’ve had witnesses put the time from mid-afternoon until 7 p.m.”

In other words, although the teens who opened the tarp first saw it at 7:15, it was actually spotted earlier by other residents. Someone reported seeing it at 7:00, but there was at least one report of seeing it as early as mid-afternoon.

We don't know how reliable any of those reports are. But if the tarp were placed there in the mid-afternoon the timeline was really condensed. It also makes it more likely that the tarp placement was intended for trash pickup that day.

Well I didn't follow that case but I do agree with that, if the accident caused the death. A few pages back I posted an idea, see below. I'm not suggesting a deadly accident made to look like murder, but an actual murder to cover up an accident. Is there a difference? I think so but I could be going batty. I don't actually think that's what happened and I'm just throwing it out there.

Thanks so much for your reply and repost! :seeya:

I've been following the discussion here for several days, and there are some very smart people here. I guess I just needed to get this off my chest, and see what others think. I'd like to think that we haven't been called because LE is following other, better, leads. But the complete lack of information is wearing on everyone, especially residents of this haunted little town. I was hoping that at least you guys might be able to make something of the fact that we haven't been contacted.

Welcome and thank you so much for sharing your story!

If it's any consolation, my personal opinion is that the two incidents are unrelated because of the difference in time. If Alanna had been snatched in the middle of the night, I would be more concerned about a connection. I'm glad you reported the incident as a tip so that LE can evaluate the possibility. I suspect you are right that one reason they did not follow up with you is that they probably do not feel it is relevant.

Thank you for the correct information.

No apologies necessary! I just wanted to make sure the record was set straight! I think Bessie misunderstood it first! :-)

I just know how an error like that can turn into wildfire around here.

No worries!

Yes, if she went missing earlier than 4-5 pm, then it's possible the body was placed on the street in hopes it will be picked up as trash.
I am very surprised that the bio dad was the last one of the three to see her, yet police interviewed him only days and days later.

OMG :( that makes me soooooo sad. Is there any chance this is related to baby girls' death? Like the perp was targeting the family ?
I find it more likely this is some idiot playing backseat vigilante. :(

Was it intentionally set on fire or accidental? I always notice how people leave candles burning at these memorials. Right next to flammable toys, etc.

What? That's crazy. Hopefully some of this will be caught on the neighborhood surveillance.

Nothing on WFAA site yet.

We're also supposed to get images of the red truck today.

Arson investigators on scene AND vehicle ' was set ' on fire, sounds intentional to me.

I'm thinking that makes both crimes potentially some kind of hate crime.

Just as we notice there is scant media coverage, maybe the perp is noticing it as well and not appreciating it.

I'm still reading to catch up so I don't know if this was talked about yet or not on this thread. If so, please just ignore me.

Back thread there is some speculation as to why LE would still be looking for the red truck and that it might be an indication that they think the person or persons associated with the red truck are POI's in this crime.

JMHO but not necessarily. If LE gets a tip in a murder case then they usually will follow through with that tip to the best of their abilities---even if---they don't suspect that the tip really has anything to do with the crime. Especially a tip that is pubic knowledge. Here's why (and what we've seen in other cases on here)---because when and if they do arrest someone for this crime and charge them that tip can be used by the defense in a court of law to create doubt. JMHO. ETA: They have to rule that tip out if they can.
