All we know is that she wasn't stabbed, shot, or strangled. We don't know that this was a brutal murder. Perhaps she wasn't murdered, but died of negligence and an evil idiot tried to hide his/her negligence.

To prove I'm not pointing fingers at the family: People who don't lock their gates to their pools are negligent. People who leave the lids off their hot tubs are negligent. Neighbors who don't remove the doors from old freezers are negligent. Not locking up medications is negligence. Driving with an unrestrained child is negligence. Not talking a injured child to a health provider is negligence.

I just read about the case today, and it sounds like she was brutally murdered (unless we're discussing someone else). Alanna was found with her hands and feet bound, there's mention of a belt and tape around her legs, there was a plastic bag on her head and one article claims that she was tortured (although that remark was probably based on the fact that she was restrained and prevented from breathing).

Do any of the homes right by the Gallagher home have exterior surveillance cameras?
Maybe a car or someone on foot or bicycle can be seen.
do we know how the fires were set?

I know. And there was a story last night (updated with video at around 11:30 Saginaw time) where there was talk of releasing video stills and surveillance of the area where Alanna was found. Someone worried? Their garage almost caught fire, the FRONT end of the car which was facing the garage has a lot of damage from what I can tell. That means someone probably lit the fire right there under the front end.

Another creepy coincidence is that another local who knows the family posted last night saying she saw a guy on her property about a month ago and he ran off.

I wonder what the FBI thinks about this. Is there a profile yet on the perp? Hopefully there will be one soon.

I'm starting to wonder if there was evidence found with the body that indicated this is a attention seeking perp. If so, this could be the reason for the silence from LE. They could be hoping that the perp will become reckless and this may have just been the case with the fires.

Someone that lives in the neighborhood could have been on foot and started these fires.

I would think they would have video surveillance at her memorial sight so they could monitor a type of perp that would revisit the crime.

I was just thinking last night while trying to sleep that its good this story isn't in the television national media. No one needs the freak show that turned Casey Anthony's neighborhood into a three ring circus and diverted valuable resources away from the case at hand.

Local news broadcast on Fox the reporter said investigators were still waiting for some forensic evidence to be tested and cause of death. Wouldn't that mean that toxicology results were still not finished? In other words, whether she had drugs/poison in her system.

This happened just last night around 1-2 am. Car set on fire as well as Alanna's memorial down the street (exact location not sure yet).
