The house in Texas looks like Architectural Digest compared to the former meth house by me, The neighbors were always calling the police. I forget how they got busted. It's been a few years.

Anyway, the reason I ask is if it is more of a transient, iffy neighborhood, people may not be paying as much attention to what goes on in their neighborhood. They don't want to know.

But, if it is a better neighborhood, people are more apt to pay attention.

Where I live, no one has brick houses as they are very expensive. Only the wealthy would have a brick house.

Home prices are dramatically different from each other - depending on location/market.These are only brick fronted. Here are the median prices for Saginaw.

I think that is a laundry closet, based on the appliance outlet. Not that it matters.....:seeya:

A laundry closet that may had a belt in it?
Or another vacant house for sell in similar condition.

Our neighbor's kids are screamers. I mean seriously they SCREAM like their leg is caught in the lawn mower.

Sadly, this is where the story, 'The Boy Who Cried Wolf' came from.

I've been tempted to purchase a nice copy and leave it in their mail box...but I digress...

Seeing other people's kids will make you appreciate your own.

Arghh! You have screaming neighbor kids too? Good grief! I can't stand it! I swear those brats have contests!

When they first moved in, the first incident with screaming like their little arms were being ripped off... I was running up and down the block with 911 on the phone trying to pin point where it was conning from. I seriously believed they were in mortal danger.

You'd think the police would have deterred the behavior... Nope!

I would never tolerate it from my own... Those little rug rats are lucky they play in a locked backyard, I'd love nothing more than to give them something to scream about! ;)

Where I live, that laundry closet would go for 140,000 -- and the realtor's pitch would make it sound like a screaming deal... :innocent:

Given the layouts of houses and yards, I am beginning to wonder if Alanna's body was carried rather than driven and dropped. Which would be more likely to be noticed, a pickup truck ejecting a tarp-covered body from its gate or a person lot persons laying it on he curb?

The house is trashed- carpets are gone, cupboards off hinges, etc. and probably a foreclosure

And not far from where she lived...As there may be others in the area close by her last known location..............

At my old house in a more family-oriented neighborhood, every now and then the SO and I would look at each other and one of us would say "Sounds like the neighbor kid is being eaten by a bear again."

(This after the first few times of checking to make sure, as you say, no one was having limbs actually removed. They were unbelievably loud. I think a younger sibling had learned the trick of top-of-lungs screaming to deflect older sibling bullying.)

I respectfully disagree. If you look at the full picture, you will see the leaves on the tree match up exactly. There are purple artefacts all over the image too. I have copied the section of leaves from the first image and placed them over the purple spots on the second image. Where the purple spot is on the second image, it matches up to being leaves on the first image.

Don't forget we don't know if these are screenshots that the camera has taken directly when detecting movement. Or they are screenshots from a video that was recorded by the camera and LE have screengrabbed images from the video. If they are taken from a moving video, LE would know there was someone walking before the car pulled up.

Here is the full picture:

Thanks for figuring out that the leaves (which are hanging down) match perfectly to what some of us thought was someone in a purple shirt. (big sigh of relief)

I stil cannot understand how they never checked on her. DOesn't the child eat? Did she have dinner before 4pm? Do they usually eat dinner after 8pm?

Skim back on the thread, Mom and older sibling (per a verified insider) were out looking for her at 6pm, hours before sunset.

Beautiful work Mitsana and greenpalm! I just spent two hrs. trying to insert all the links and my comp crashed! Bravo to you!

If this can't be made into a sticky, can we title the post "Timeline" and then add a "tag" or attachment ("Timeline") to the thread? Would that work?

Wow. Don't they clean them up for a sale?

That is really cheap. Where I live, a house that was a meth house and identified as a meth house sold for $140,000 and it did not look as good this Texas one.

Is housing really inexpensive there? Is that house in a decent neighborhood?

In general, Texas is known for it's affordable housing.

VI was not there after Noon that day. Heresay.

Well, the "verified insider" status exists for a reason. I assume most people would rather we had the info she gave us than not have it, even if it doesn't support our specific theories/leanings/desire to bash parenting skills. Everyone clamored for ANY info to help establish a timeline.

Our verified insider LDHummingbird said they typically did eat later, usually after 6pm.

Just to be clear, I am standing on the shoulders of giants, but I forget whose list I was building upon. The original list pulled some info out of the scanner thread, and those posts got deleted. But luckily, I had saved some work on my computer in a Word doc, so I just deleted that item and added a few links. So, anyway, it's a group effort, thanks all around (especially those who built up the list before me!).

So what do you guys think of the 2pm sighting by the neighbor? Is it official? If it is, then Alanna went back home until 4pm and then went out to play. Was it a different house than the 2pm one? Or was it the same and they had left? TIA

Can a local please tell me if the construction workers are working Sunday's in the area of the recovery location?

(I *think* texashello is the one who has been on top of the construction info, maybe if you don't get a response you could PM him/her. Hopefully I have the right local.)

Since we have not heard much yet I am wondering if anyone thinks this was a murder with NO sexual assault?

I know she was (reportedly) found in just her purple panties. Does that pretty much mean there was a sexual assault, too?

Just wondering how much time the perp(s) had with her and how long the luring away, and bundling in a tarp took.

I really do not know much about how these SO's function.

LDH said that she did not think any clothes had been found yet. Souvenir?

  • #760
Pinkfly, the only thing that makes me wonder about sexual assault is that the ME apparently said she wasn't strangled. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that usually the COD when sexual assault is involved in the murder of a child? (Polly Klaas, Samantha Runnion, Cherish Perrywinkle all come to mind, and also JR, although I think Austin Sigg is still denying sexual assault.)
