Basement? Do you mean the gutters? Sorry, I'm tired and I'm not sure what you mean by basement!

Scanner thread down in the private forums.

But... What goes on down there needs to stay down there. Can't bring that info up here.

Good question. I have been using the same screen names for some years. I don't know.

A few years ago, I was thinking about going back to school for computer forensics. (Until I realized that a large portion of that field is looking for child p*rn and I simply would have gone insane). So I decided not to.

Trolls on comment sections 'usually' aren't the brightest. If you have someone posting your REAL NAME and scaring you ...might I suggest that you have the FBI and/ or the Texas Rangers who are an arm's reach away from you track that down. It's really not that difficult. You'll need to contact fb and it usually requires a warrant.

(Help me out you legal eagles on here).

PLEASE CONTACT THE AUTHORITIES. You should not have to put up with that.

I had to quit reading the FB comments from links posted here because I just feel so bad for her parents who might read them.

I think fb should shut all of those pages right down.

They are RARELY moderated. It's just a open pit for lying and arguing.

Think of the pages when Travis Alexander's trial was on.

Lowest behavior.

If you are having any problems CONTACT FB.

I personally don't read those pages because there is absolutely NOTHING to be gained.

Good question. I have been using the same screen names for some years. I don't know.

I've learned from WS that a determined person can "sleuth" almost anyone if they have a few key pieces of info, including linking a handle to a real name and vice versa.

Which is why I never use the same handle twice. :(

This is the reason WS doesn't allow information and rumors from Facebook. Rumor central. Sorry, you are having a difficult time. I don't understand how your posts here could be used on FB? How anyone would find out your real name, but we shouldn't discuss it here. Maybe you should notify the Mods if someone is acting up here?

Hope it gets better for you! Scary stuff.

Beautiful work Mitsana and greenpalm! I just spent two hrs. trying to insert all the links and my comp crashed! Bravo to you!

If this can't be made into a sticky, can we title the post "Timeline" and then add a "tag" or attachment ("Timeline") to the thread? Would that work?

You can put the timeline in the media thread right here: TX - Alanna Gallagher, 6, Saginaw Timeline and Media Links *NO DISCUSSION* - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community

This is a thread to keep sources and resources all in one place. No discussion - only MSM, LE info, maps, timelines and that sort of thing.

I don't know about Texas, but here in New Jersey law enforcement was less than helpful when my teenage son Was being stalked online by a crazy woman. Even when the crazy threatened to kill whoever stood in her way to getting together with him.

Their best advice to us... Get rid of Facebook. Be vigilant, and if she shows up at my home... Call 911. They did do frequent drivebys. thinking she may escalate when he disappeared from online.

Edited to add... My lawyer got his PI on it, found out who she was and served her a very threatening letter:) seems to have done the trick!

Stalker laws and protection are just laughable. I think it's country wide, honestly. The laws really haven't caught up to the technology. Not that they were ever sufficient to begin with. What a scary situation you had to endure.

I try not to allow myself to veer into TV crime-show thinking, but seeing the pictures of all those little brunette girls with bangs, all lined up in a row, gave me a chill for sure.

Especially the ones that seemed to occur every three years or so.

The 14-year gap for Alanna (and the way nothing seems to quite fit in her case) makes me less sure she is part of the pattern, but the 89-99 ones? Don't know.

Jumping off this post...is there anyone who has recently been released from serving jail time that would have been arrested back then? Someone who may have recently moved into the area after 14 year stay in prison?

I would think that they would have been able to get finger prints off the tarp, belt or bag though.

Have any of the LE searched the dump for her clothing? My gut says its someone local, and that she was left very close to that persons residence.

Neither do I. I am SO paranoid about people finding out who I am, where I live. It's scary how easy it is to find someone nowadays.

Years ago, (and there is another WS member on here who can verify this), I was involved as a volunteer in the search for a missing woman in our area who had been murdered.

During the months that passed I was befriended by the woman who was in charge of the donations. I can't remember what the donations were for if it was some kind of equipment or what.

As it goes, this woman became estranged from the group and then posted ALL OF OUR NAMES AND ADDRESSES on the internet.

I was :scared: :scared: My kids were small and all I could think about was some FREAK was going to show up at our house!!

The other WS member was smart enough to not ever give out the her/his real name ect...

LESSON LEARNED.

I take this kind of thing as a serious security breach. I don't think it's funny or cute or innocent at all. ESPECIALLY in this particular situation.

I'd call the police.

LDHummingbird:
I'm so sorry you are having to endure being harassed anywhere.
I value your input here but want you to be careful and hope you do report the abuse to FB among others that has been recommended here.
As we can see there are a lot of crazies out in the world and I've met a few of them myself through life.
Stay safe and take care.

Everybody - stop now! No more discussion of the facebook.

Thanks,

It seems to me, that fingerprints and dna would have been run through a national database. If someone got out of jail, they had their prints taken when arrested. Their prints would have been hit.

I do agree that the person is very local.

Alanna Gallagher

Remembering the reason we are all here. Justice for Alanna Gallagher! Such a beautiful young girl. May they find her killer (s) soon.

""The last time I saw Alanna, she was wanting to go play with friends, and I let her," McDaniel said.

http://www.nbcdfw.com/news/local/Alanna-Gallaghers-Father-I-Want-Justice-214847271.html

Video/text with no mention of time.

Added the questionable time in red on timeline.

Also added skibaboo's 6 pm notation.

Thanks.

the last time I saw Alanna, she was wanting to go play with friends.

It certainly would help if we knew the EXACT time he last saw her....
Is anyone certain that her dad knew which friend A wanted to visit?

Did A say I want to play with friends?
Or I want to play with a specific person?

So they are looking at 6 pm, but police is only notified around 9 pm? What gives?

Puts a whistle in my head. Doesn't sound right. :moo:
I've been around folks who lost sight of their kids at little league. Those parents yell for their child and someone alerts cops immediately.

Dear LE:

You are obviously stumped and at a standstill. Please register on Websleuths and become members and let us help you!!

(We are an amazing bunch).

I have another nagging question.

What Alanna was reported to have been wearing when she went missing obviously ....she wasn't wearing it when she was found.

Why hasn't the issue of her clothing come up? Has LE recovered it? I think it's odd LE doesn't appear to have looked for it or asked others to keep an eye out for it. Odd... Very odd.

If they had searched the trash truck for instance, perhaps they would have found her clothes inside a trash bag filled with discarded mail or other type items linking them to an address. Find the address and they find the first crime scene.
