I've just spent a few minutes reviewing some "Thread 1" posts and MSM reports.

I had forgotten there might be LE patrol car video as mentioned here:

"Investigators hope a video recording taken by a Saginaw police officer in his patrol car as he drove around the area where the body was found may provide clues, police said."

Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community - View Single Post - Found Deceased TX - Alanna Gallagher, 6, Saginaw, 01 July 2013 - body found in tarp - #1

And, also I had forgotten a report by a neighbor, "MP" mother of twins who lives a couple of doors down who said AG always carried a backpack. It's very likely the backpack has been discussed with our verified insider, and if so... was it found at home?

I believe the interview with neighbor "MP" is the third video (entitled "Saginaw girl found... ")

I couldn't find the quote about the backpack. I watched two videos at this link and I didn't hear a word about it. Could someone provide a timestamp perhaps? Thank you.

Wondering about this grandfather's report in the light of the time he reports seeing AG playing outside with his grandkids and MM's evasion as to when he himself saw AG last. Has grandfather been looked into? Maybe I'm missing something.

IIRC, the reporter in the msm video with MP (mom of twins) says that police have visited neighbors' home 2 and 3 times. So, I'm going to hope the grandfather/neighbor was visited lots of times.

Saginaw Police "Damon Ing" quoted here:

“We’re still trying to piece together when she was last seen,” Ing said. “She had been going in and out of the house all afternoon.”

Hoping progress has been made on when she was last seen since this was posted on 7/3. They're sure being tight lipped about it.:dunno:

Sorry if I seem thickheaded. I'm just trying to catch up.

You just need to watch one more... it's the third video "saginaw girl fournd dead in street". (sic) Sorry, I don't have a time stamp.

lol... it's either the third or fourth ?! It's in there.

bolded blue by me: I think maybe it was just heavier and had a different "feel" to it than what he was expecting. Also, lifting 50-60 pounds up from the ground ... that does take a little heave-ho, I think, for almost anybody. That's like a jumbo sack of dog food -- pretty hard to first get it hoisted up, even if you can carry it pretty easily once you do.

I imagine, knowing kids, moving garbage was not on their agenda. So when mom asked him to pick it up, the fact that it was too heavy was a good one because he was not into moving the garbage in the first place. Any excuse will do

It's not you, it's ME :D

I'm sure my posts here today are confusing because ALL the links and info are from the first few days after Alanna was found. I'm not bringing anything new to the table... just trying to help find the source/s of "old" news.

You're doing JUST FINE!

This looks pretty good, but there is an area I think needs to be cleared up. It was reported that the body was found at approximately 7:15 (I believe that may be from the time of the 911 call0, but the ME puts the time of death at 7:33. I think it's safe to say that one of those times is wrong, I'm pretty sure someone would have noticed if she wasn't dead when she was found. MOO

I don't think anyone but the ME can declare someone dead

Seems there's not a lot of new information to bring to the table because there IS no new info available. Frustrating.:banghead:

Based on articles, pages and first person accounts from friends and family (some of who I know) I say this:

There are plenty of others who knew the family that have said otherwise because they actually know the family and their routines. These are people who have had Alanna and her siblings over for play dates and attended other activities with them. But of course, the media doesn't pay attention to that. They also didn't pay attention to the connection of the "neighbor" who created this speculation of the family routine was also the one who reportedly told her her friends weren't home and not to wait. To go and say maybe there was more they could have done in retrospect and twist it to make it look like it was the fault of the parents and over dramatize prior interactions was just a way to transfer guilt. Sensationalism is the #1 reason I chose not to pursue a journalism career. By the end of my BA program I was so disgusted with the way news organizations are ran that I decided to do something else. Thankfully my degree says Mass Communications instead of just Journalism. Only my transcripts show my concentration.

Strictly my opinion and observation

The thanks button wasn't enough! This has been my intuition since I saw the video. Something just isn't right.

Ok for those of us who remember seeing a video of a neighbour saying Alanna knocked on their door but their grandkids weren't home, I found this. It's YS again, I think, names are wrong on screen again. But she is outside and has sunglasses on her head. She doesn't say what I thought, but MAYBE it was an unverified insider who said it and we could be getting confused. This video is from early, before AG was identified.

Video titled 'Girls body found in saginaw' Skip to 2:25 and see if this rings any bells.

That article is dated 7/3/2013. I believe that LG and KG were already in for questioning.

This vid is of MM who spent hours being questioned on Tuesday 7/9/2013.

http://dfw.cbslocal.com/2013/07/09/police-investigate-father-of-murdered-six-year-old/

So basically, Ing was going by what he had been told by LG and KG about Alanna's comings and goings and neither of them were even there. They had to have been giving second hand info. A more complete picture of Alanna's day would have been provided by MM who was the only parent home with Alanna from noon, until LG returned @ 4PM.

Do we know for certain that only LG & KG were questioned during those first few days? I was thinking they might have questioned all three then brought KK back in again on July 9th. I dunno tho

This makes me wonder if the neighbor who told AG that her grandkids weren't there and not to wait was perhaps trying to deflect criticism of herself by casting aspersions on AG's family and their routine/lifestyle/child monitoring. Which was then picked up and run with by a media that I agree is all too willing to sensationalize everything. As if this case needed more drama.

Criticism of what? She is a neighbor and has no more responsibility than you or I for taking care of Alanna.

There were two different neighbors that stated Alanna cried when she had to leave their homes and go home. Granny wasn't the only person who suggested that something wasn't quite right in the Gallaghers' home. The links are on this forum.

I don't understand why she would or should have been criticized! Alanna was not her responsibility, and she was under no obligation to have her over. There was nothing to deflect. I'm not sure I am understanding your reasoning...??

It wasn't publicized the way that MM's post-questioning by LE was, but I know I saw or heard it. Perhaps on a vid of a reporter knocking on the family door and KG making a quick statement from behind the barely opened door.

I will try to look for it later. Hopefully a WSer can firm up the date that LG and KG went in for questioning.

I just recently started to save links with labels of their contents.
