Was Alanna's family home when this all went down?

One of the tweets I posted the reporter asked to speak with one of the dads and they said not at this time.

Also, one tweet said 5 officers were serving the warrant in tactical gear.

Police took items the first time. He mist have known he was going down for days. Did he think he was too clever or was he going to have a shoot out and win or was this suicide by cop?

Based on his FB stuff, I'm going with suicide by cop...

Warrants will still go through. Probably why the LE mobile unit was pictured in front of the house.

A post above says 'tactical gear', I don't know how much that covers, maybe he was going for an exposed/un-armored spot.

And I agree it looks like it could be him at the vigil. Same goatee and ill-fitting jeans.

If you are talking about JPS, that hospital isn't just for the uninsured.
It is actually one of the best trauma/er facilities in Texas, if not the U.S.

The LEO was also taken there.

My name is Katherine Chaumont and I am the Public Information Officer for the Dallas FBI office and
I am here today on behalf of SPD & NT Major Case Investigative Team
This morning around 9am, a felony search warrant was attempted on a suspect related to the ongoing investigation into Alanna Gallagher's death.
Members of SPD, the FBI Safe Streets Task Force and the NT MCIT were present.
Around 9am, officers knocked at the door in the 600 block of Babbling Brook Drive in Saginaw.
Officers engaged the suspect at the door. an altercation ensued. the suspect produced a weapon and shots were fired.
A task force member was struck and transported to a local hospital.
An officer returned fire and struck the suspect who was also transported to a local hospital.
The identity of the officer as well as the suspect are not being confirmed at this time, pending family notification.
Additional updates will be issued by the SPD or a designated law enforcement representative.
And that's all we have for you this afternoon.

ETA: task force may be generic but I think they choose their words carefully in these public statements.

A reporter did try to talk to them earlier, but I don't know if it was by phone or in person at the house. It's really none of our business, but probably you're thinking like I am that it must have been difficult to be right there while this was going down IF they were at home.

Alanna Gallagher's father says this isn't a good time to talk. Family praying for officer.
