Poor little lamb. Alanna is a child who just grabbed my heart hard. Her intellIgence and sweetness and sensitivity. I feel she was a magical child. It's very hard now to have thIs resolution in a way. To know what she went through.
It hurts with every child but some just strike a person more strongly.

I dunno, hasn't been around much this summer, not even on the UID threads.

If Holder's cars never left all day and she was found a mile away, then a friend ( perhaps in black car ) MUST have helped, right? Holder would have been spotted by many people walking a mile carrying her inside the tarp.

I don't have the reference, but didn't Ing refer to this perp as the *main* suspect after the arrest?

LE waited for Holder's family to put the garbage out yesterday, July 22, 2013, and verified the bags were the same with the cross-hatch pattern, and there was red duct tape in the garbage.

I know the perp voluntarily gave his DNA sample. And he acted stupidly (telling folks it was Alanna before that was released, giving contradictory stories, not knowing about the surveillance cams).

My question: if he hadn't given himself away like that, would LE have managed to have enough probable cause to get a search warrant for his DNA?

I feel so, so sorry for Alanna and her family, but so grateful this perp was such an idiot that he didn't have a successful career as a serial killer.

I'm sure they would have found a way, even without a warrant. They got the trash bag and tape from the curb, I'm sure that already had his DNA on it. They can take anything he discards, to get DNA without a warrant.

He could have had a not so bright friend help him with the disposal. They might not of known at the time what they were doing. Once the thing started unfolding afraid to come forward because of being involved, or possibly knew what they were involved in. This might be one of the cars in pics released.

Actually JPS is in Fort Worth. Not Dallas. Not to argue (so please don't take it that way) but it is known around the Metroplex as a hospital who does take people with no Insurance.

I have to agree. There has to be more to this. If they surveillance video that his cars never left that day, wouldn't they have video of him leaving in a different car? Holding a huge tarp? or leaving his house carrying a huge tarp? Are they saying NO one saw this kid leaving his house with a huge tarp or walking down the street with it? It just doesn't make sense. jmo

I feel compelled to go to JPS myself right now, which would do no good and I'm sure many locals are feeling the same way. I am so GRUMPY right now at this little pipsqueak of a punk. My son is going to be 19 on Friday and is a good kid and thinking about this boy, this half assed idiot, this non human animal terrorizing a baby just makes me want to go terrorize him. Thinks he's a big man, a tough guy, a baby killer. Your day is coming GOD and KARMA and FATE are going to knock you down with a big heavy fist , B**** and I hope I'm there to see it . I may even want to go to trial. Any other locals want to meet me ? To take the most precious and most innocent because you are sick in the head does not equate well with me and with most.
