I've been watching this case closely as I live in Dallas. I wanted to say I think y'all are amazing.

Waaaay back at the beginning of this case someone said something about this suspect in a video going out to his car and such...and you guys were on the mark.
I personally thought it was a predator who wasn't from the same neighborhood.

Also as a 45 year old gamer with tattoos...I'm sad at all the rhetoric on fb about he was a gamer and a slouch and "looked" the part. AG's mom gamed too. Thank you guys for not going down that route.

If anything ever happens to me..I want y'all investigating my case.

This thread is moving so fast I just wanted to say....

I mean, there's no way he got her a mile and half away on foot. No way. Not without witnesses. So he took *some* car, or had an accomplice, which I somehow doubt.

There something so relieving and of course so sad about seeing all that evidence, down to the toilet paper roll, click into place.

Huh? And by huh, I mean WTH? Does this have something to do with the two photos released by LE of other cars? Geez. I hope no one else is involved.

Finally caught up on everything that happened today while I was at work. I am so glad to hear that the killer has been found. I didn't suspect the parents, always thought it was someone in the neighborhood, and he was on my radar when I saw that video from when the police were at his house.

My thoughts and prayers are with the officer who was shot today, his family, and of course, Alanna's family as well. This has to have been an unbelievable nightmare for them. May they have time to grieve, and may they eventually find peace.

Arlington Police Chief Will Johnson said in a Tuesday afternoon news conference that Lodatto was out of surgery and faced a "difficult road ahead" but that they are "optimistic" that he will fully recover from his injuries.

Dr. William Witham, one of the treating trauma surgeons at the hospital, said that a bullet divided Lodatto's femoral artery and then lodged in his hip socket.

Witham said the officer is in the guarded condition in the ICU and will need a couple of more surgeries. He said Lodatto is awake, alert and talking.

Johnson and Witham both credited emergency crews with saving Lodatto's life.

Witham said a field tourniquet applied immediately after the shooting stopped the bleeding and stabilized him until he could have surgery at the hospital.

The DNA on a toilet paper roll??? Not the belt or the victim? I know it hardly matters now, but I hope they clear up a lot of confusing points about this case.

How could LE claim this was an isolated case? How could they be sure he wouldn't strike again?

And I wonder if the red tape and the tarp was just a coincidence, or if he saw the supplies in KG's car.

It would explain how she could have been dumped from a moving car, one driving, one pushing. It gives me a feeling in the pit of my stomach. A bad, bad, bad one.

Yes, DNA on Alanna too. Red tape was found in his trash and matches
