Yeah...that's when my idea of an older guy/friend/mastermind/groomer started forming in my head...
(totally off the the wall theory I know...

I read too much

Well, it's not necessarily that far out-there, perhaps.

And if you think about the unsolved murders of other little girls in the area, it gets scary to think of a mentor.

But if you read too much, I definitely watch too much television.

Absolutely, and its quite shocking when you see how high our rate is when compared to all other industrialized nations. We compare to 3rd world nations much more closely (and I am referring to gun crimes specifically, since that was the topic of my post):

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_firearm-related_death_rate
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/12/20/us-guns-statistics-outlier_n_2331892.html

Right, but that does nothing to show the statistics of young people committing murders. Which is what this crime is. The topic is the deprivation of our youth, which is not shown in any of those.

I feel compelled to go to JPS myself right now, which would do no good and I'm sure many locals are feeling the same way. I am so GRUMPY right now at this little pipsqueak of a punk. My son is going to be 19 on Friday :) and is a good kid and thinking about this boy, this half assed idiot, this non human animal terrorizing a baby just makes me want to go terrorize him. Thinks he's a big man, a tough guy, a baby killer. Your day is coming GOD and KARMA and FATE are going to knock you down with a big heavy fist , B**** and I hope I'm there to see it . I may even want to go to trial. Any other locals want to meet me ? To take the most precious and most innocent because you are sick in the head does not equate well with me and with most. FBOMB x 20000. I sure hope he's not disabled in any way from the bullet....well anyway mentally. I think having a physical handicap from it might be ok :) We'll see . :)

Did that feel good to vent Schmae? Good stuff. :stormingmad:

Society feels victimized when a poor young innocent is violently taken from us.

The trial for the abduction, sexual attack and murder of 8 year old Victoria Stafford took place last year where I live. While I didn't attend the trial, I dashed over the courtroom at about the time the verdict was due. GUILTY came the news! The crowd let out an involuntary roar of approval. It was like a huge weight had been lifted on the community's shoulders. Justice was done. We had waited patiently for years, but it had last arrived. Tori's parents could at least put that part behind them.

I am not a vindictive person. I don't believe in vigilantism. I believe the crowd can get it wrong sometimes and someone can get railroaded. But damn it was such a relief.

May you Texans get that same sense of relief for your community now that this predator is off the street.

Not sure if this has been considered yet in how he would have been able to remove her from the home without being seen. Is there an alley behind his house? Could he have taken her out a back gate?

Nevermind...the house have yards that back into the ones behind them.

I totally agree. They have violent video games in all countries all over the world and their teenagers aren't killing people at the rate ours are. What is different about here? Lots and lots and lots of guns. Of course, sweet Alanna was not killed with a gun. But the cop was shot with one. And that makes me almost as sick.

IMO, we have been taught to be afraid -- there is some big bad boogie man out there who is going to take our freedoms away or bomb our buildings or rob our houses and we must protect ourselves against all this potential evil. Of course, that is mostly BS propaganda put out to SELL GUNS. But I imagine that kind of conditioning wreaks havoc on the developing brains of our kids. It isn't healthy for kids to grow up in a constant state of fear.

This is probably a conversation for elsewhere, but yeah. I think the gun culture plays a part. I think our violent and oversexed culture in general plays a much larger part than video games do. I think video games are easier to pinpoint, a thing that is easy to point a finger at and say "Blame THAT."

The best prime time shows and hit movies have lots of violence. We're conditioned to see it and not even blink. Day in and day out. Same with sex. I don't mean nudity, I mean sex. 🤬🤬🤬🤬 is free and in abundance, television shows have gratuitous sex scenes, movies, everything. It's constantly in our faces. I don't blame those things anymore than I blame video games. But when you have a person who is "broken" in some way already and you give them this constant barrage of sex and violence, it's hard to believe it doesn't somehow make them numb to the atrocities that they could commit. But it's not an excuse, not an answer. There has to be so much more wrong with a person to get to this point.

How does the law work over there regarding driving parents cars or someone else's car?

Here in the UK, I can be a named driver on my father's insurance and be allowed to drive his car.

The arrest warrant clearly states his car never left Babbling Brook Drive on 1st July. In the video of him leaving his house there are clearly 2 cars at his home, which I would assume the other belongs to his mother.

Sorry to repeat myself, but maybe when he was questioned he told LE that he went to fill an employment application in his car. LE knew his car never left the street that day and so included this in the warrant to show he was lying.

Here is the pic of 2 cars at his home:

I'm thinking his mother or whoever the other car belongs to was at work between the time when Alanna went missing and the time when she was found, so it was never there to not leave the driveway.

Why would the warrant even mention the cell phone picture unless it is relevant somehow to Alanna? Did he take the photo earlier in the day and that incited him to grab an innocent victim to rape? Was it taken just after the rape and murder?

I was wondering the same. The only conclusion I could come to was that it was to put the pieces together, so to speak. She was sodomized by this monster. I think they mentioned it in the warrant as a way to tie sodomy to him as something he engages in on himself and possibly others.

I feel ill even typing that out.

Yea I often have to vent here . I plan to go to one day of his trial at least !

We glorify violence, and guns are symbols of violence. We worship those symbols as "freedom". We allow our children access to all sorts of violence in entertainment, but when it comes to love and sex, oh gosh no, our poor precious little violent hoodlum children are just too "innocent" to view love and sex. We have it all backwards. Jmo

Thank you, that makes sense.

Not sure if this was posted, it looks like they are not letting mom know her son's condition either:

SNIPPED..................................................

Holder lived at his residence with his mother, Kimberly Holder. She referred questions to her attorneys and said that she does not know the condition of her son.
“I don’t know. They won’t give me information,” Kimberly Holder told the Star-Telegram. “I’ve been asked to leave the hospital. I’m so unhappy right now.”

JMO, but I don't think a chubby guy with dirty dreds who is sticking hoses in his butt has a girlfriend.

This made me giggle. But seriously, there are some pretty messed up girls out there so it wouldn't surprise me.

I know, and to me, part of the causation for deprivation of our youth is the fear that has been pounded into their head by media ever since 9-11. There's a whole generation out there now that grew up hearing that people were out to get them. And the reason that those media serve up those messages are because they are paid to do so by gun manufacturers, to sell guns for "protection." On top of that, there's easy access to guns for teens, which isn't cool at all. It's all tied together.

FB says "in a relationship" and there are some posts from about a year ago that kind of imply it (she was going to move away, but didn't?).

In the video taken on July 5th where he is in black Megadeth tee shirt w/ dreadlocks walking out to red car, he is accompanied by a girl (blonde, IIRC?). Anyone have that video?

Not to say that a male, or even - um - someone else's whose car did have biz in the driveway.....couldn't be involved.

Just brainstorming.....

BBM

His Mom's pic on FB shows her with blond(ish) hair. Past her shoulders and straight. The picture was posted April 1st. She looks young(ish). Could it have been her??

ETA: I believe in that video your talking about (or the one I saw today on the news but I didn't see her) the gold Kia is also in the driveway. He was wearing the same clothes you described.

But who took the picture...? It seems like an awkward position one would have to be in to get a clear shot MOO ...but I guess we don't know exactly what the pic looked like (angles, close ups.....ewwww yucky ...I'll shut up now.. :scared:

So if Tyler's car never left that day "who" came by the home, because she was put there somehow. That may be why they are looking at for the cars that were released in the photos.
I do not know how he would have gotten her a mile or so away without a vehicle, there has to be somebody else involved here.

LE must know from surv. that his car never left his house........

Haven't seen mom's FB, but yes that could have been her. I can't find the video here (if anyone can link it?)...... I KNOW I saw it on the NBC5 news tonight when they were reporting stories. I just don't know if previous versions are using different angles or she hadn't walked out to car yet? But I remember noting that he was standing at the car door and finally a "girl" (maybe it was his mom, though?) came out to the passenger side.

I just saw it a couple hours ago, so I don't think I'm mixing up things in my head......??

This case just breaks my heart. :( I don't have children but I have a niece just a bit younger than Alanna and I can't even fathom this happening to her. I don't know how anyone can hurt an innocent beautiful little girl.

Fly with the angels baby girl. You are safe with our Heavenly Father now. No one will ever hurt you again.
