I haven't followed a lot of cases, but I do still find two things very coincidental. I think it is amazing that 6-year old and pretty similar-looking Opal Jennings was abducted from so nearby and also, that LE seized red duct tape, tarps, and Walmart bags from LG's car.

I still kinda wonder if maybe the contents of KG's emergency kit was visible in KG's car and the perp decided to imitate the items even if he didn't steal the actual items. He certainly lived close enough and rode his bike on the street frequently, so he had opportunity to see inside the cars.

If this kid mowed lawns, he could have a ride-on mower with a cart attachment. Otherwise, the body had to be moved in another vehicle. I checked Craigslist and saw lots of cars being sold in and around Saginaw.

The FB posts (about a girl not leaving) are from April '12. Assuming girlfriend (at least at that time) was REH based on comments? Looks like he's quite close with his cousin too, FWIW.

I'd love to know what type of cars the girlfriend and cousin drive.

I believe some cannot control themselves. It's in their "wiring". :twocents:

That's such a slippery slope, I don't think we can entertain that. If we start accepting that, then how is he guilty? If he can't control his himself, how can he be considered guilty of anything?

I still find the earlier string of unsolved murders of brunette 6-7 year olds to be very very weird and I'm surprised no one has seriously linked them up before, especially the ones from 89-99 or so.

I am evenly torn between TH having taken items from KG's car *or*, as many people said initially, it could just be that lots of people now have differently-colored duct tape in their homes. (I have purple and neon green.)

RSBM &RBBM from Greenpalm's excellent work:

Have you ever been around kids who are hyperactive? I mean REALLY hyperactive? My oldest son is extraordinarily intelligent. (Not just bragging he really is), the trouble all his life has been that HE GETS BORED INSTANTLY.

Let me tell you what, I use to lay in bed at night and say to God, "You MUST have known what you were doing when you gave him to me because anyone else would have shipped him somewhere by now!"

He was into EVERYTHING. Nonstop. Go, go, go, talk, talk, talk.

I thank God every day that I went on to have more children because they are 'normal'.

Even the best of us can have our patience tried with children like this. Just a thought.

(When my son was about 7 or so he would wait until he could see our elderly VERY NOSEY neighbor lady in her garden and then he would stand in the kitchen and holler, "ABUSE!! ABUSE!!").

His greatest life's self-entertainment is cuing in on what people's weakness are or something they are uncomfortable with and then using that in conversation to get a 'rise' out of them. He's amazing at it. I just wish he could make some MONEY at it.

When he was in the second grade the school was teaching them all this D.A.R.E not to do drugs thing? They didn't tell the kids that cigarettes weren't illegal drugs. I use to smoke back then. My son told EVERYONE in the school that his mother did drugs every day.

One day he had nothing for 'Show and Tell' so he told every one..."My mom farts and blames it on the cat."

Okay, I realize I'm off thread topic BUT, I'm a teacher and I already love this kid. I actually really like the "dangerous when bored" students. Probably because I was (am) one.

Is that normal? I mean not even telling mom his condition...? Seems odd to me. Moo.

is he really 17? if he's 18+ and hasnt signed a privacy thingy (excuse my technical language, ga!) they can't tell her. i saw it mentioned he graduated last yr, so was thinking he is older... im sure dob on arrest warrant?

  • #990
By the time they are seventeen though, a parent has got to know when they have a problem on their hands, kid-wise. All of the excuses of a ten-year old are long gone. I guess she never looked at his FB page or his phone...

I really had it in my head he was 19 but can't figure out where I came by that info, so I have to defer to MSM.

Actually, the arrest warrant lists his DOB as 1995, don't remember what month. So yeah, he most likely is 17.

You hit the nail on the head.
I've been reading all day, just decided to post.
I was going to say something similar.
This is not about video games and weed.

To me, it's about our broken society, broken families, loss of innocence and too much access to "anything goes" on the internet.
Our children are exposed to everything while we are all distracted by media, tweets, texts, instant gratification, you name it.

Let's be honest, we're all glued to this thread and the next development.

This young man was twisted. He acted out his urges.
I believe some cannot control themselves. It's in their "wiring". :twocents:

Key word is "acted out". Teenage boys have weird sexual urges. They watch pron, it's easily accessible now. That makes me very sad.

Years ago, I found video tapes in my son's room. He was in HS. He renamed them with movie titles. Yes, I admit I was snooping. When I found them, I threw them in the garbage. He accused me of destroying his "friend's" stuff.

I said; sorry too damn bad. This is unacceptable. Face your friends and tell them: "My Mom threw them away. We're in trouble now".

That's all for now. Friend just called, all upset about her 18 year old daughter. High sports achiever being abused by her "coach".

:banghead:

Boys, especially teen boys have sexual urges, that's Normal! Human beings are sexual beings! Yes, that includes watching a little 🤬🤬🤬🤬 and looking at nudie magazines! That's what normal teens do.

Huge freaking leap to sodomizing and murdering a 6 year old. Like a whole nuther universe !!!!!

That's like saying teens whose chore it is to take out the trash causes freaks like him. If only he was kept away from trash bags..,.

All IMO

RSBM &RBBM from Greenpalm's excellent work:

D - Another neighbor said there were signs that something was not right at home. She was gardening when she heard the girl shouting for help. She was stuck in the tree in her front yard. Alanna told her, “Strangers are not to be in my yard. You are not allowed in my yard.” D described Alanna as a “spitfire.”
recalls the mother saying, “I bet she’s over at a neighbor’s home, she always does this.” http://www.dallasnews.com/news/metro...naw-street.ece

Hmmmm...

I do and I don't. On one hand, she's a mother than has, in effect, lost her child now. He's hurt, she's (hopefully) confused, she is just a mother who wants her child.

On the other hand, he's 17 and, based off of limited social media and his basic looks, he's a walking "cry for help." If my son was 17 years old and living at home, no way in hades is that boy going to sit around playing video games and getting high.

I have some feels about that, but she's still off limits.

I got tough with my son in HS, VERY tough.
Raided his room, ditched the pron, stood by him every step of the way.

He ended up getting a scholarship to his 4th school of choice.

It was a hard road, you must be dedicated and "present". My fear, is most are not "present", they are distracted and self indulgent. :(

And the US is super-prudish, compared to other countries. Maybe that makes "nekked bodies" too enticing for some...

Note that this isn't an indictment of television, dark television, or Dexter. (I watch all of it, although I don't find Dexter to be particularly high quality.)

Anyway. Regarding Alanna being wrapped in layers of plastic (bags, garbage bag, tarp): TH lists Dexter as one of his likes on FB. Wrapping his victims in plastic sheeting is part of Dexter's MO.

(I hesitate to point it out right now because I am not on the 'violent tv/games make people murderers' train, but the current conversation did make me think of it.)

I watch Dexter and yes he does wrap up his victims in plastic sheeting in the kill room and afterwards in black garbage bags and dumps them in the water (mind you he only kills criminals not children!)
Many serial killers have done that in real life.
Who knows what really inspired him, but the sick sadistic sex stuff is not from Dexter. He may thought he was as clever as Dexter. Obviously not dealing with a sane person. Possibly psychopath.

This crossed my mind, too. They believe Bundy was very young when he first killed.

That's exactly what I'm thinking. I've never seen such a thing without a "scene".

Particularly as he's presumably not in a capacity to make his own decisions, is a minor, and staff would require mother's permission for procedures and to make certain medical decisions.

(On the other hand, if he is now in LE "custody", maybe not? Anyone know about this?)

But without good cause to boot her I'd think even LE would want her involved in his medical decisions?

a dear friend is a nurse at a prison. he's told me in the past, le generally leaves the arrest until release from hospital so that they don't have to foot the bill... they just guard the "patient"...

This killer would have been 3 at the time Opal was murdered. Not possible, for there to be a connection.
