Found Deceased TX - Alex Aviles, Adult, Austin, 12 August 2019

Alex Aviles was reported missing to the Elgin TX police department by his girlfriend and daughter on Thursday, August 15. They told police he had been missing since Monday, August 12.

Aviles was last seen at 8:40 p.m. Monday when he dropped off his girlfriend in Austin.

Aviles was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with the word "Levi" printed on the front, dark pants and a gold chain necklace.

He was driving a white 2003 Ford F-250 single cab company truck with temporary paper tags.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Nichole Acuna at 512-285-5757.

Missing Elgin man found dead inside truck

Police said APD located the truck on Sunday, Oct. 27 and found "unidentifiable" human remains, which the Travis County Medical Examiner's Officelater identified as Aviles.

The cause of death is still under investigation, pending the final autopsy report.

APD is working with the Elgin Police Departmenton the investigation.
