She could've had a burner phone on her because her dad could easily track this phone and the contacts, so it would explain her leaving it back if she was using the spare one to co-ordinate with who ever her ride was supposed to be with. At first i thought she must've gone out just to have a quick word like "yeah i'll be out in a few" and get her things but the whole tracking thing on the dad's end is so intense that it seems like she intentionally left it. It's not like she could use her credit cards anywhere because those would be tracked too

That you know of. They are awesome and don't look like prescription anymore. You can have prescription lenses put in to store bought sunglasses. Not everyone can wear contacts and regular sunglasses.

I think she left those items on purpose there. In plain sight, so they could be found.

Teenagers always carry their phone in their front/back pocket, even at work. They just never want to miss out.

So if she suddenly had to go to the back exit, her phone would have been on her.

I was responding to that with my post. If she had a wallet, I'd think she would have had a purse, and neither were found that I am aware of. My guess is she was carrying those items, along with her phone in her pants pocket, then for some reason took them out and placed them next to the register. Maybe she had a chair at her station and didn't want to sit on her phone? Maybe she didn't want her cards to get bent up? If her station was near the register, she could have still had access to her phone, and not have gone without.

Are prescription sunglasses dark? I believe someone stated she was wearing "dark" sunglasses?

IMO it's frustrating that we are speculating as to why a teen might have put on sunglasses. It speaks to to how little info the public has been provided and it's mostly coming from an interview with DC. Why hasn't LE updated the public as to whether they are looking for CCTV footage? I understand the sunglasses are relevant, but it's a minor detail in the grand scheme of a seriously concerning situation. Her dad noted that someone said she put on sunglasses before she left. Fine. An account of an account. But there are 51 billboards in the area, cameras around the restaurant, numerous coworkers, and we don't have an image of the car she got into? All we have are broad descriptors. We are discussing the sunglasses because it's among the scarce details we have been provided. But it seemed minor. Who is working this case? I don't care how/why/f0r what reason she is missing. She just turned 16. It's urgent. What is LE doing? Making us speculate about glasses she allegedly was seen wearing for a second. I want to call the businesses myself and hear about the camera footage. I don't think LE is incompetent, but the silence is a slap in the face to a missing teenage girl and everyone desperate to find her. It's unfair to Lexi. There are cameras everywhere. What's the deal? At least an update? Who can I reach out to? There just has to be more to go on. Were this a residential neighborhood, who knows about cameras. This is a shopping center with surveillance cameras identified in this thread. Someone saw something. If no one saw anything, technology did. No one has come forward to say anything? I just don't understand how 50+ billboards are up in the area, yet LE and media are quiet. Interview was on a small channel, not Nancy Grace or something. Billboards are great but they aren't cameras. LE needs to provide an update. I know the weather is awful but if there are really 50 billboards up, they owe Lexi, her family, and the public an explanation? Maybe not the public and thus they are working behind the scenes? I realize this - so much speculation about putting on dark sunglasses at midnight, but there's probably not much to it other than the fact that she wanted to be less easily recognized at night, or perhaps she thought that it's what soon to be famous people do.

My impression is that she chose to leave her phone and other personal items behind. I doubt that she fully understood that she would be without a phone, and financially dependent on someone else, from that moment on. It would not surprise me if we find out that she thought she was going to be a famous model. That grooming and luring trick has been around for 100 years.

Just because LE is quiet, that doesn't mean they are not informed. Many times they just don't say anything because they are waiting on tips to come in. If they report a witness saw dark blue Mercedes leaving the scene for example without waiting for more tips, that can throw an investigation off in a wrong direction, and then everyone's looking for a dark blue Mercedes. If they wait, and say 20 people say they saw a black Mercedes driving away, it makes it more likely it was a black Mercedes.

I know we’re all picking apart the little bit that we do know about her disappearance, but with the amount of time that’s passed, I hope police realize something is really wrong here by now.

Her dad seems like a cool guy, very realistic, open to listening to his teens and very loving. He does everything right - all the things we parents are told to do to keep our teens safe. So the scariest part for me is that even with all that, there is no open push to find her from authorities. I feel like this poor guy is the only one really doing anything to find her and it breaks my heart.

I’m praying that they find her soon and that she’s safe, wherever she is.

Re the cook. Kitchen staff are the last to leave. The front staff just need to clear their tables and cash out. The kitchen staff have the last dishs to clean..the cookware to clean..the kitchen to shut down..defrost stuff for next day...end of day garbage to remove..usually to a dumpster out back.. etc. So the front staff leave first.

It depends on the establishment. Where I used to work, the weren’t the last to leave. The started their prep for closing down throughout the night. Usually there was a cut off time for ordering food and they finished closing down the kitchen before the customers finished their meal. Our servers got cut at different times as the dining room traffic dwindled. There were usually 2 closing servers and we had to vacuum after all the customers left. The only staff left until the very end was the manager, 2 servers and perhaps a bartender.

It doesn’t look like a huge place inside, plus with tables socially distanced and 50% occupancy- there probably was not a large amount of people in there that night.

So true twt11. Or park in the back if you are doing something shady or not wanting to be seen by patrolling cars. Also, designer sunglasses are expensive and are easily picked up by accident if left out. Everyone in my own house has picked up my cheap aviators because they look like theirs. I caught my husband wearing the aviators I got that had butterflies on the side to stop the grab. So it could mean nothing, especially glasses left by the register. Too much time is passing by without footage IMO

I think the billboards might not be connected to police efforts, but a separate deal. If this was considered an abduction, there would likely be more police appeals, although usually they come with updated information. It seems as if LE are following leads from people who knew her rather than relying on tips from strangers. Chances are that she's not out there in the cold but sheltered with someone. IMO it could have been more than one recent family disagreement that prompted her disappearance. It's heartbreaking for her family. Unless there was abuse involved at home, the question is, at which point will she realize that grass isn't greener elsewhere. I hope they find her soon. The people she's with might face charges.

I’m leaning toward Lexi going missing involuntarily. Just my gut feeling, based on a FB post mentioned on page 5 of this thread by @indicolite22. If she feels blessed and thankful for her family, I just don’t see her running off willingly.

I have 2 imperfect teens myself and don’t consider myself naive as to the thought process (or lack of). Most make poor choices here and there, I totally get that.

Nothing in the local news, which is upsetting. I would love to see her dad do an interview and get more exposure. I pray that Lexi is found safe!

IDK whether Alexis left on her own accord or not. *If* she did, the timing is about right for her to resurface. She would be missing her home, family, friends, and all the things teens love. I really pray she makes it back home.

Curious about something. I've been to a Boomerjacks but not this one. I don't remember seeing a cashier station. At tables, the server takes your payment and runs the credit card themselves. In the bar area the bartenders run the payments.

Not a big deal really but if she was a hostess, then her work station would be the hostess stand up front toward the front door. I've also only seen two hostesses working at the Boomerjacks over been to. Never just one. That was prepandemic though so possibly not relevant.

If she really was a cashier, I'm not sure what she was ringing up, maybe to go orders? Her work station would likely be further from the front door possibly even toward the back.
