Her cousin said that she looked at the flight boards and then went outside for a smoke, she was last seen next to a car.

She also had a layover.
Any history of drug use? Could’ve chatted with someone nefarious outside about a quick run or get in the car let’s smoke this...etc; not implying she’s a user just throwing out scenarios. MOO

That's one of the things I'm wondering about...there may be a way to look up how long that layover was for her flight.

If she saw that her connecting flight was delayed or she had a lengthy layover scheduled, she may have wanted/needed something that wasn't available to her at the airport.

It's one of the very few scenarios that makes logical sense of her appearing to have left the airport.

JMO.

Can someone please link to the active FB discussion that had a multitude of people sharing as well as friends/family commenting. I was on it earlier, but can’t remember where it was.

Edit — found it; nvm

Her cousin said the layover was “about an hour and a half” so this theory can definitely fit.

This is a weird one. There’s really no logical reason for her to leave the airport unless she was planning on making a very quick trip to grab something. And like you guys pointed out above, this would be one of the worst places in the world to abduct someone because of all the cameras.

Hoping this doesn’t end up like Mackenzie

From what her cousin said, she doesn't know anyone in the DFW area.

Can you please provide a link to the information source you are refering to in several posts?
This is required acc to TOS otherwise it may be considered rumour. Thanks

Honestly, I don’t know if it can. Or what an hour and a half means. Does it mean from landing (as is normal) to departure? If so, by the time you deplane that layover is even shorter. And then
which terminal did she land in and which one was she to connect from? Leaving and going outside would mean you would have to go back through security, and you are technically likely boarding 30 minutes before take off at dfw.

Some friends and family are saying that Ali has been located, and that she was in a ‘scary’ situation.

Yup. Apparently she even posted that she was safe, but her Facebook is now private. A friend must have screenshot it.

I'm a former airline pilot. The "layover" is the time from when the cabin door is opened until the airplane pushes back from the gate again. Given the time it takes to deplane and then load up again, I always stayed around the gate area when I was commuting to work. But I understand people that have to have a smoke as well, and have had more than one passenger miss a connection because they went outside of TSA to smoke then got delayed going back through security.

It's always nice when you read a thread to catch up, and by the time you get to the end, the person is found! I hope that is the case in this one because it was strange for sure. I was thinking, not another weird airport disappearance situation.
