Ali Ismail, the victim, was the father of six children with a seventh child on the way. He also owned a small business. And nobody works harder than a business owner.

He was shot repeatedly by two suspects when he pulled into his driveway. The suspects were attempting to burglarize cars in the area (footage shows them trying door locks). Ali did not attempt to confront the suspects. Rather, he was shot as he pulled into his drive way where one of the suspects was standing.

During his memorial service, a man asks a powerful question of "Whether we are a nation of laws, or a nation of anarchy?" Every DA in the country should hear that question.

Video footage shows the two suspects prior to the attack. Though the footage is not clear, one individual's face suggests that he could be White or Hispanic.

One interesting point is that they are not walking together. Rather, they are walking on opposite sides of the street. This maximizes the number of car doors they could check as a team and suggests that the two are "pros" and not impulsive youth types.

They evidently fled on foot. Thus, I am thinking they are local to the area.

Are we a nation of laws? Great question, indeed.

Recent decimation of many police forces - one institution that defends & protects us all against criminal acts - is not helping by sending a message of weakness to all thieves, robbers, murderers, etc.

A DA can't prosecute without the 1st line of defense in place. But then, that Thin Blue Line must have integrity to be trusted.

This reward needs to be presented to the neighborhood (shooters fled on foot, increased possibility of being local) door to door.

I think too many rewards presented very indirectly. They are thus "out of sight, out of mind" and largely theoretical to people in the know. Making the reward "up close and personal" can generate a lot more interest.

Yes, a very good question. My deepest condolences to Ali's family and friends. I can't even imagine what his wife is going through. Six children and one on the way.
