GUILTY TX - Alicia Moore, 16, Greenville, 2 November 2012

  • #381
The term "tool box" was introduced in the press conference in a question asked of Police Chief Busken. The Chief responded with the phrase "incorrect information".

I suppose technically someone could store tools in a wicker basket, but that does not make a wicker basket a tool box in the traditional sense of the term.

I see your point... But tool boxes need to be pretty sturdy to hold and carry metal tools..

My DH is a mechanic with many testosterone covered tools... And I wouldn't see him using something as large, or as "flimsy" as a rattan trunk...

Just My Opinion!

I hope the one they picked up today is the person so she will have fast justice but one guy was already in jail when all this happened.

Not sure what to think about all this right now.

I hope they get the right guy as well... And SOON.

This was interesting tho...

"Though Ramsire was in jail at the time of Moore's disappearance, investigators are working to see if there is any connection between his arrest and the teen's death."

ETA If I am reading that correctly. It sounds like the arrest was for an assault on Alicia. :-(
That poor baby.

Oh MY!!!

It sounds like Ramsire was arrested and is in jail for sexually assaulting Moore's daughter...

Is that Alicia... Or does Alicia have a sister?

Terrible either way! :(

Excellent point!! I didn't even think about Alicia having a sister. You are right. Terrible either way. I must confess, Alicia touched my heart in a way no one has in a long time. I am pretty sure that she has a sister.

"Even up until now we cannot say for certain Alicia was abducted," Busken said.
http://www.wfaa.com/news/crime/vigil-177797671.html
The above is just beyond infuriating:furious:

Somehow I quite doubt that this beautiful, tiny, young woman transported herself 40miles from home, toted along a storage trunk with her, and then killed herself in a manner that caused obvious trauma to her body while enclosed inside the storage trunk off the side of the interstate!!.. I don't know maybe that's just me?!?!

Therefor in my making that huge leap of assumption as described above I am lead to the conclusion that she was effing abducted to have wound up days later traumatically murdered and disposed of inside a storage trunk!!

For this LE to have the gall to publicly make the statement that to this present time he still cannot say that Alicia was abducted is just beyond angering to me!!.. WTF??

Reread this link:

Police confirmed Whetstone's arrest, but wouldn't provide any information on the Moore murder investigation or any connection Whetstone may have to the case.

ETA: The reporter is making the connection ... not the police. JMO

A couple of thoughts:

1. Facebook: Facebook allows for private groups - where posts can be made and NOBODY can see them unless you are in the group. I am part of one. So while Aunt may have had A's public posts come to her phone, there are ways to communicate on FB "invitation only". AND there are soooooo many other social medias out there.

2. The box. I haven't heard them say that they know for certain when the box was placed at that location. The way it is sitting, against the rail, I'm doubting most cars buzzing by would even notice it ... It could have been there since sometime in the middle of the night Friday.

3. I hate this "kid gets off the bus and disappears" crap. A. Lowitzer case haunts me. Off the bus and *poof* gone.

4. I feel like this case will be solved quickly. I don't know why, but I'm certainly hopeful with the Texas Rangers on the case.

Justice for Alicia!

imo

They seemed to be pretty certain that the box was placed there on Monday or Tuesday and I thought that might be because they knew it wasn't there before, for example because the very same construction worker who found it Tuesday had worked or passed there the days before. jmo

If you look at Alicia's facebook pics she has some that included her ipad and she was posing.

I was bullied a lot back in school and would be taunted on the bus and then followed home (which was only a block). The younger brother would torment me on the bus and then when we got off, his older brother would pick him up and they'd drive behind/beside me yelling all kinds of names/sexual harrasment type stuff. I was very, very tiny much like Alicia. I had braces, not much of a chest.

Eventually one day I clobbered (sp) the kid upside the head and was suspended. My point being - what if she finally got fed up. I know I did. And this perp was messing with her, tried to take her ipad and then she tried to fight back. She's so tiny he could have hit her once/twice and she'd be down. JMO of course but I cant believe I made it through my h.s. years without causing major damage...that boys head up against the window was NOTHING compared to the harrasment and bullying I received through middle/high school.

Oh and one last thing - they said she'd ask people to play video games and watch nickolodeon. So in that sense, most 16 year olds are not watching Nick....I had no friends and I clearly remember sitting home w/ my little sister (6 years my junior) and watching kids shows. Anything that seems happy and that life might not be all that bad...point of all this - mentally/emotionally she didnt seem 16. There might have been a boy that FINALLY showed interest in her and then something went bad. Maybe thats who she went to see getting off the bus --- another boy? someone older showing her attention?

I'm very sorry you had to go through this! Very nice of you to clobber that 🤬🤬🤬 ;) Well done!

I agree with your last paragraph - this might very well be what happened. Sadly :(

A thought: Placing her in a box and then placing that box in a visible area says something about the killer. From a criminology standpoint. That's not the usual 'throw away' of a body that killers so often do. I'm certainly not an expert, but I've picked up enough profiling by osmosis and I get the feeling that would indicate a strong likelihood the killer knew Alicia. Possibly? And knew her well enough to feel guilt and want her to be 'taken care of' after death. That might also be why LE (despite their abysmal performance here) is not confirming abduction. They might suspect it was someone who didn't need to abduct her because they already had free access...

I think so too.

According to a news release yesterday, a construction worker found Alicia’s body in a trunk off the side of Farm-to-Market 47 near a bridge railing, four miles north of the town of Wills Point, at about noon. It seems from media sites that this ‘trunk’ was likely a furniture trunk or perhaps a tool trunk, but police have not discussed details in the discovery except that “some of the information reported by the media is accurate, some is not completely accurate. There is a box that’s associated with this investigation."

I wonder why the secrecy re the trunk? And also re other items, the backpack, ipad, and what about her cell phone? Did she have one? Or does the ipad do calls as well (sorry, technological dino here! lol :blushing: )?

Whetstone's mother, Tracy Whetstone, said police searched their home Monday after Moore's disappearance was first reported and that they were looking for evidence that would tie her son to Moore.

There must be some connection between Whetstone and the Moore family.

Though Ramsire was in jail at the time of Moore's disappearance, investigators are working to see if there is any connection between his arrest and the teen's death.
Perhaps the connection is between Whetstone and Ramsire ?
