A Pollok man indicted late Tuesday for capital murder was additionally indicted on a charge of aggravated sexual assault, according to grand jury documents released Wednesday.

Eric Parnell, 31, 2254 FM 1819, was charged in the May 29 highway shooting death of 18-year-old Ana Franklin of Garrison. Parnell was also charged with raping Garrison's cousin after shooting and kidnapping her.

Two years after losing her insurance, Jennifer Holliday finally got the operation she needed to regain the use of an arm mangled in a shotgun blast.

Dr. Kyle Dickson removed two steel plates and 19 pins from Holliday's left arm Thursday during a surgery that lasted three hours and 40 minutes. He then made a surgical correction to Holliday's elbow to restore a range of movement lost in an attack that shattered her arm and killed her cousin in 2005...

As they drove down U.S. 69, Parnell pulled alongside Holliday's Ford Explorer and fired a shotgun. The blast struck Franklin in the head, killing her. A second blast nearly blew off Holliday's arm. Parnell, who then abducted and beat her, received two consecutive life sentences.
