But Kassaundra had curly hair, it should be still possible to tell if hair on the remains were naturally curly or straight.

In a link in her thread I read she straightened it but yes, the hair may make her very unlikely to be this UID.

One thing I wanted to share is that area of Texas has several prisons. The work shirt found with the UID could be completely unrelated to her (or reveal a connection). I do wonder if it resembles prison staff or inmate attire of that time, which was likely have a name tag.

Just a thought.

Straightening isn't giving long lasting effects, it's hours, days tops. Even with keratin straightening it should still be pretty easy to tell if hair is naturally curly or not (unless nobody bothered to check).
