Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar characterized the discovery as suspicious.
“It was off the beaten path. This is a very desolate road to begin with, but then you add to that the remains were found about 20 yards deep on private property behind a fence and gate,” Salazar said. “It’s not a very accessible area. Someone would have to be looking for a spot.”
Although there has been no identification, the site was among those heavily combed in the search for Andreen McDonald, the woman who went missing under suspicious circumstances at the end of February.

A skull and bones were found scattered on private property in the 600 block of Specht Road at about 7:30 p.m., Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar said.
A friend of the property owner was walking around a field when they found the remains, the sheriff said.
