Details of Disappearance

Diaz was last seen in the 8500 block of Park Place Boulevard in Houston, Texas on July 1, 2024. She has never been heard from again. Authorities believe she may be in the company of a person named Justin Alexander Scarbrough.

In November 2024 Krystephor Karvon Brown was charged with sex trafficking Diaz prior to her disappearance; the charge was promotion of prostitution. A photo of him is posted with this case summary. He was arrested and then bonded out of jail.

The police had found a "sex ad" for Diaz on an "illicit website" and officers arranged to meet up with her at a hotel, where they detained her and identified Brown as her pimp; he drove her to the hotel, and would drive her to all her appointments with clients and wait outside. Diaz went missing days after this incident.

Authorities stated the sex trafficking case is separate from the missing persons investigation; it isn't clear whether Diaz's disappearance is connected to Brown or to prostitution. Her case remains unsolved.
Who is Justin Alexander Scarborough????

I see he was charged but who was he? Was he a client? Was he another trafficker?

Charging documents show 39-year-old Jason Scarbrough was charged with murder on Wednesday. Documents state that Scarbrough allegedly murdered Diaz and then tampered with her body by using a saw to get rid of her body.

According to the Houston Police Department, Diaz went missing in July 2024, but her body was found in March 2025 in Clear Lake. At the time, police said someone was passing by on Space Center Boulevard when they found her remains.

"We have no timespan of when they were dumped. It could've been within a month or two, depending on the weather, animal activity, or it could've been years. It's going to take forensics to nail that down for us," a detective said at the time.

Documents for the murder charge state that Scarbrough was out on bail in separate cases, aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, when the murder charge was filed. However, the Harris County District Attorney's Office said Scarbrough never made bail on those charges, and he was actually in custody when the murder charge was filed.

A saw? What is it with offenders in Houston? They did this to Felicia Johnson and Sara Goodwin (both were SW) in 2022.
