“According to court documents, Texas EquuSearch considers Clark a person of interest in two stolen vehicle cases involving missing people.”

"She said she and Davante Clark were sleeping in her car at the Hometowne Apartments.
Taylor said she woke up at 5:30 a.m. to see Clark running after a gray SUV in the parking lot.
About 30 to 40 minutes later, she claims Clark pulled up in the gray SUV and asked her to meet him at Roane Park, less than ten minutes away.
She said Clark had left the SUV there, and the two had driven away in her car.
Clark was later arrested after police said the gray SUV he was driving had altered plates.
"When I asked about it, he was never clear," Taylor said. "He would never tell me, and he would just always say that I ask too many questions and that he hates being questioned."

The woman said she moved to Missouri City from Arkansas in July after reconnecting with Clark. She said they were homeless and had been living in her car while she worked delivering groceries. The woman told investigators that they sometimes parked at the Hometowne Senior Living Apartments where Miles lived because it was well-lit and they felt safe.

The woman said that on Aug. 22, Clark woke up around 5:30 a.m. and she saw him running toward an SUV. She claimed he left in the SUV and later returned. But MCPD detectives used Flock license plate readers and determined that her vehicle followed the SUV to the place where Miles' remains were found.

On August 28, Pearland police found Miles’ car in an HEB parking lot with Arkansas plates. Davante Clark was in the car, although he gave police a false name and also told officers he’d rented the car from a man in Arkansas for $500. He also was carrying a Glock. Police ran his fingerprints, figured out his real name and arrested him for a fictitious license plate and unlawfully carrying a weapon.

Clark went to jail and Taylor was not sure what happened but saw flyers on a website about Karen Miles missing. She reached out to the Miles family on Facebook. Court documents do not say if she ever made contact with them.

In court on Wednesday, prosecutors were seeking a hearing for a judge to make a ruling on Clark's bond. They want him to be kept in custody until his trial is over.

He's due back in court on Dec. 2 to see if he'll be held without bond.
