''Back on May 8, 2015, Wafer, 43, was found dead inside her home on the 5600 block of Belneath Street in the South Park subdivision of south Houston. Police said that Wafer was shot once and appeared to have suffered from blunt force trauma. She was dead at the scene.''

Investigators said that there were no signs of a struggle or forced entry, leading them to believe that her attacker was either let into the house or had a key.

HPD homicide Det. Ramon Cervantes, who handles cold cases, said that an air conditioner repairman was allowed into the home hours before the murder, but was not considered a suspect. He also said he knows what she was struck with, but did not identify the object.''

Boy finds his mom dead in their southeast Houston home

Family and friends gathered outside the home wiping away tears and hugging each other.

''HOUSTON – A mother was found dead in her southeast Houston home Friday morning. Relatives say her 13-year-old son found her body.
Police were called to the home in the 5600 block of Belneath around 8:30 a.m.
"Son was here overnight, didn't hear anything. He woke up to go to school and found his mother lying on the bedroom floor," said an HPD officer.''

'Police believe someone hit 43-year-old Angela Wafer in the head with an iron.'

''Wafer, a home healthcare provider, lived in the house with her son. Friends say she had been seeing someone recently. One neighbor says she saw his car here last night, and it was gone by morning.
"I didn't notice him leave, but when I looked out my window, he was gone," Eura Watts said.
Police also say an air conditioner repairman came to the house last night and that he was here when Wafer's son went to bed. They want to talk with him and the boyfriend.''
