Search resumes Friday for missing Dickinson woman

Her family says they're extremely worried about her because she has asthma and left home without her inhaler.

She has threatened to run to her mom's house in Dallas in the past, but she's never followed through.

I recently obtained a copy of documents relating to the investigation into Arionna's disappearance and am disappointed that nothing has been found and no one has been held accountable for involvement in her disappearance. I live in a neighboring town of Dickinson, so this hits close to home, and I've had a few locals reach out to ask if there was anything I could find that may help.

The most alarming thing is that witnesses place her with AC that morning, believing that he had offered her a ride to school. He and his brother are, on paper and in life, super sketch. They were interviewed, but nothing has come of it. From Google Earth, it seems that the property adjacent to where AC was living at the time is packed with industrial barrels, which is worrisome. I just wish we could find her and bring her home.

The town of Dickinson is fairly small, according to Wikipedia:

Dickinson is a city in Galveston County, Texas, within Houston–The Woodlands–Sugar Land metropolitan area. The population was 18,680 at the 2010 census.

If the resources of the small city's police department aren't adequate for fully investigating Arionna's disappearance, I wish they would ask for help from a larger LE agency. I'm worried about what happened to Arionna.

The town is small, but I don’t think it’s incapable of properly investigating. I think it has more to do with the suspects involved and their power in the community. The entire family is a source of concern and fear for many, and part of me believes that the lack of progress is at least partially because authorities don’t want to cross the family.

Dickinson was hit extremely hard by Harvey, losing many lives and many more homes and businesses. But Dickinson PD handled much of the aftermath in stride and was able to organize well enough to do sweeps of neighborhoods and assist those still trapped in their homes. I firmly believe that a PD which can manage such a disaster is more than capable of focusing efforts to find a young woman.

That is good to know. I'm glad the Dickinson PD is capable of investigating, as it does seem that Arionna is not a runaway.

I believe that people in the community know more than what's been reported to police, but fear retaliation from the men's family. I'm honestly surprised that anyone even told police that they had seen Arionna with one of the men that morning, when it's suspected that he stopped alongside her and offered her a ride to school. Sadly, she never made it there.

Arionna Parham – The Charley Project

Details of Disappearance
Parham was last seen leaving her home in Dickinson, Texas early on the morning of May 22, 2018. Her older sister told her that she could get a ride to school if she waited, but Parham left on foot before her sister was ready to leave. She never arrived at Dickinson High School and has never been heard from again. She disappeared only the day before she would have graduated.

At the time of her disappearance, Parham was living with her older sister and her sister's children. Her sister described her as a very naive, trusting person who was not mentally or emotionally on the same level as other eighteen-year-olds. When Parham didn't come home after school, her sister checked her room and found her cellular phone, asthma inhaler and all other personal belongings behind. There was no note.

Parham's sister subsequently discovered that Parham had been spending time with a much older man in the neighborhood, Armando "Neco" Cruz, and that he had been giving her money. It was he who had picked her up on the morning of her disappearance in his black Nissan Altima.

Armando has a lengthy criminal
history, including ties to drugs and sex trafficking, and many people in the community feared him. He moved to New Braunfels, Texas after Parham's disappearance. Both he and his brother Oscar Cruz are being investigated in Parham's disappearance. Photos of the Cruz brothers are posted with this case summary.

Although Parham had run away before, she had never left without her asthma medication and never for very long. Her sister believes she is still alive, but in danger. Her case remains unsolved.
