The Austin Police Department is looking for Armani Woods, a 7-week-old baby boy, who is believed to be with 32-year-old suspect Kayla Washington in connection with the abduction of the child.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, 50-day-old Armani Woods was last seen around 7:30 p.m. on November 3 near 11105 North I-35 Service Road Northbound in Austin.

Woods is described as a Black male, weighing 14 pounds and about 1 foot, 10 inches tall, with brown eyes and unknown hair color.

Washington is described as Black, 5-foot-2, weighing 135 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. She was last seen wearing a dark navy blue shirt and black sweatpants.

If this is her (no date of birth but listed as 5'2") she has open cases (and an open motor vehicle accident investigation not posted her but in the court records) and a current warrant for her arrest on two separate trespassing charges as well as pending possession of controlled substances. Mother facing kidnapping charges in connection to discontinued AMBER Alert for infant in Austin

32-year-old Kayla Washington was placed in the Travis County Jail after her 50-day-old child was found safe following an AMBER Alert issued Tuesday.

A mother has been booked on kidnapping charges in connection to an AMBER Alert issued for a infant on Tuesday in Austin.

According to the Austin Police Department (APD), 32-year-old Kayla Washington has been placed in the Travis County Jail on kidnapping charges and a separate warrant a day after the AMBER Alert was sent out and later discontinued.

Detectives also found and eventually arrested another person, identified as Avery Rider, who they believed helped Washington. Rider was arrested for resisting arrest.

Austin police cancelled the AMBER Alert early Wednesday morning.
