Texas EquuSearch has joined the search for a missing 23-year-old woman who is eight months pregnant and considered at high risk.

According to search officials, Ashanti Allen was last seen April 8 leaving her home in the 8700 block of Main Street in Houston. She was reported missing on April 10, and her disappearance is now the focus of an ongoing missing persons investigation.

Ashanti’s mother said she received a strange text from her daughter’s cellphone on April 10, reading, “I’m leaving and never coming back.”

“That was suspicious to me, so when I saw that, I instantly went up to her apartment, knocked and no one was there,” her mother stated. “I looked in the garage, the vehicle was also missing.”

EquuSearch says Allen’s case is especially concerning because she is in the late stages of a high-risk pregnancy, raising urgency for search efforts.

Ashanti’s mother got access to her daughter’s home and saw her clothes and the baby’s clothes were still inside the home.

Do we have a middle name for her? I found a civil family court case in Harris County )Houston) with a Ashante Dashay Allen named as one of two defendants from 2024 through 2025 (case closed, final judgement ordered). A motion of paternity in April 2025. Case No. 202485229 Court documents are labeled as "sensitive" so not a lot of information other than the other defendants name which I can't link as he's not a POI. No DOB listed in court records so not sure it's the missing woman. Office of Harris County District Clerk - Marilyn Burgess | Search Our Records

Nothing for her on FB that I can narrow down to her individually, there are a couple women with that name in that age range on there.

From FB posts by neighborhood blogger (I think), it seems that Ashanti is in 8th month of a high-risk pregnancy and has to use a wheelchair right now.

Grizzy's Hood News on FB has more reports and info - not verified news source so can't post link here.

Miller said his crews are searching empty fields near her home.

“Not because we have good information, areas we are searching. There have been bodies dumped in that area before,” he said.

Still, they are holding on to hope they can find her alive and bring her home.

“We believe in miracles. We have many of them. The miracle would be if we can get her back alive,” Miller said.

We reached out to HPD to find out who dumped the vehicle and where it was found, but the police could not release additional information.

Court records show Ashanti was a victim in a family‑violence case a few months ago with a man she was dating. Police could not confirm at this moment if he is involved in her disappearance.

I double checked DV records in Harris County (you have to register to search with your name and email but its free) when her Mom first mentioned it online. It doesn't allow a search by plaintiff without a case number and if she brought the complaint against her partner for the alleged DV she wouldn't be the defendant. So I found nothing IN THAT COUNTY.

I pray this little lady and her unborn child are found safe and sound. If someone harmed her, they will be facing double homicide here in Texas. LE recovered her car, but wont say what if anything was found. Pray for her family, this is scary.

Just a Note: Harris County Court records has several records for someone with his first and last name (civil, not criminal) but they are 20 years old, so NOT the suspect.

I was expecting this after some of the information Ashanti's mother had shared on social media which couldn't be disscussed here, but it just makes my heart hurt.

agreed, my hackles go up any time we have a missing pregnant woman. We've seen too much.

oh no, have now read the rest of this page. Dammit :( I was hoping this one would be one of those rare ones where the woman is found safe somewhere.

Court records reveal Faux's history dating back to 2019, when he was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

His most recent charge was in 2025, when he was charged with assault on a family member.

Her father says she was expecting his first grandson.

"I can't even tell you how I feel. My body is just completely numb," he said. "I don't think I even processed the fact that my daughter is gone. But I know it's going to hit me. It's going to hit me hard. Because I love my baby girl. She's my only girl, my baby girl. And then she had my only baby grandson. So right now I can't even, I can't put it in words how I feel."

I wonder what county or court those records are in? There was nothing on him in Harris County, where Ashanti lived.
