defense is objecting to ridiculous things that don't matter. they are arguing against Ashley telling where exhibit 1 (shot of Athena with red bow in her hair) photo was taken. All they are doing is alienating jury IMO

the photo was taken by Athena's mother, while she was visiting her bio mother (Ashley is her stepmom since 2017 when she was 1.5 yrs old)

That could well all be. And tho it doesn't seem to be mentioned he could have fetal alcohol syndrome, or even developmental trauma (like cptsd), or both. BUT none of that would mean he didn't know right from wrong! It might mean he had trouble controlling his impulses, but while poor little Athena was fighting back, he could have come to his senses and let her go. He didn't. No weep-story excuses please from the Defense.

The horror turns my stomach -- she was free and happy and full of life, eager to see what 'the modern day Santa' was bringing, only to face evil beyond what we adults don't want to fathom.

just heartbreaking to watch all of this being shown to the jury. I can't imagine sitting on a case like this. A rape and murder of a child. I can't imagine a worse crime to have to adjudicate. These poor jurors, what they will see an be unable to wash from their minds afterwards.

several photos defense has shown are the abandoned trailer. then dog pen and pool are shown. Outdoor shower. Why an outdoor shower? trying to finish the remodel and get moved.

Defense is trying to suggest the girls were living in mess and poorly supervised. Oh my lanta I knew this was coming.

we are back, Defense has requested testimony outside the presence of the jury. They want to have sheriff testify to do voir dire on photos state wants to use in their case.

sheriff is on the stand. at issue is stillshots taken from the video that was in Tanner's truck. The defense really wants these out is my take on what this is all about.
