And they can discuss none of it. Not with trusted loved ones, needed therapists nor even their fellow jurors, until or after deliberations.

IMO we're talking about twelve people who thought they could handle the evidence they would hear who have likely become twelve people who could not.

No one could prepare for what they heard and no one could listen to that without being devastated. On a cellular level.

The high, high cost of justice.

forever

ETA that one reporters words. She is reporter and covers awful stories but she said she this was the most awful thing she had EVER heard in a courtroom. That stuck with me.

DID, no way.

If Zero existed before that interview, he existed only as a convenient excuse to dodge accountability. It probably worked for him for years.

It falls below flat here.

TH turned off his forward camera 1.5 hours in advance of delivering a package to an address with two little girls. He did the same the day he stole Athena. Did Zero do that too?

That is not DID is. Ask TeciaStauch. Distancing himself from a sickening crime isn't DID. It's just cunning. Wily. Evil.

TH is actually demonstrating executive function. Steps taken. Which goes by another name -- premeditation.

We are a civilized society so I won't ask for it, but he deserves death in the manner he delivered it.

Do we know if her parents left the room during the video?

Does the Court provide trauma therapy to jurors?

How are twelve decent, feeling human beings supposed to cope with the trauma from that audio over these next days, able to speak with no one?

Athena's parents, Jacob Strand and Maitlyn Gandy, have both testified in the trial but were not present on Thursday when the video was played.

Separated for 60 years.
No contact. No answers.
Until a cold case changed everything.

In 1971, a young woman was found barely alive in a quiet Maryland field with no ID, and no witnesses. Succumbing to her injuries, her case went cold.

For 54 years, her identity remained unknown, until advances in forensic DNA and a determined investigation finally uncovered the truth, revealing a family torn apart for decades and reunited two siblings who had not seen each other in 60 years.

In Episode 2 of Trace Identity, a new series from Othram Studios, we explore how DNA can transform uncertainty into identity and change lives in ways no one expects.

we are live again. the doors separating the cab of the fedex truck and the back are closed. TH is smoking and driving. It is dark outside.

yes, loved ones stepped out just a few minutes into the playback the jury heard, unable to take listening to what they knew came next

ETA I read that at one of the sites giving live updates but cannot find to link so take it for whatever it's worth.

he stops at a gas station, opens the sliding door leading to the back of the truck and exits the vehicle. (this must be where he tries to clean up the truck maybe?)

  • #1,473
Now he is going to clean up

  • #1,474
you can hear but not see him in the frame. sounds as if he is in the back of the truck wiping something with paper towel like you get from gas station pump. returns to the truck driver seat with a very large roll of brown paper towels and can be seen spraying and wiping up the floor of the rear of the truck.

Wise of them.
It would be difficult to control oneself in that situation !

I for one, will continue to pray daily for each one of them. They answered a call not knowing what was in store and for that they have my utmost respect and most humble gratitude.

Shaking like a junkie while he's driving to the gas station.
But no expression at all. No remorse, no sadness, no real fear.
Just blank.
IMO.

He fields a phone call from either his mother or grandmother. She wants him to pick up Toilet paper.
