Okay seriously, its not like prosecution is asking that a guy who escaped from a mental health facility inpatient status, be sent to death row. The guy had a job a fiancee, a son, a mum, a grandma, an aunt, stable albeit messy home. He has taken a kid off outside her house and he didn't laugh hysterically in a fugue state when cops caught him, he tried to cover up , make excuses, ask to see his son.

Is DP even a remote possibility even without this days/weeks long defense? I mean usually at least one juror is opposed to DP on principle right? And all of them need to unanimously vote for DP right, otherwise its auto LWOP for pleading guilty to this ?

May I ask a question?

Did you see in TH's brain anything which could have predicted these crimes?

I'm guessing not.

Blah blah blah

"Every behavior has an anatomy." Wonder what the anatomy of Tanner's abduction and brutal murder of a 7 year old child looks like?

ETA I sure hope the state asks him that on cross.
Hard to say but two horns and a pitchfork come immediately to mind

One of the guest hosts on WFAA stated earlier, " Welcome to the Pain Train". This is absolute torture for the jury, the family and all present in court.

I just imagined that this testimony was being shown to Athena, to try to explain away why she is no longer playing Barbies in a tree. 😢

Seriously. This is the Pain Train.

I'm still chafed by the speech-language pathologist's conclusion.

That Fed Ex should have known he had issues to the degree they should have provided him an emotional support monitor.

This lady has advanced degrees, worked with kids with assorted abilities and disabilities, purposefully introduced them to stressful real life situations in order to direct them to appropriate behavior...

And she thinks the truck is the problem here?

Does she understand cause and effect, action and consequence?

Fed Ex was just an avenue TH used in order to gain access to little girls.

And moreover, Fed Ex equipped its vehicles and contracted vehicles with forward and inward cameras. Very proactive and forward thinking.

I hope they're now equipped with alarms when they are manipulated, but this truck didn't make TH do what he did.

TH did.

And now he gets to face the consequences.

And FWIW Fed Ex paid dearly for what TH did and I hope it effects stringent changes in the industry going forward, but Fed Ex didn't kill Athena, TH did.

Because he wanted to.

I can’t speak for this exact state but typically when initiating an IEP, school psychologists can educationally apply autism without making the medical diagnosis formally. This doesn’t confirm the diagnosis, rather allowed allows them to access IEP services based on their educational assessments.

It’s very normal for an IEP to have community based life skills goals and for restaurants to be included. Many districts also have internal and contracted (my agency is a contractor) programs which go into the home.

None of that matters though because he’s a grown up with clear decision making skills, clearly not diagnosable incompetent Or that’s what the witnesses would be talking about.

They are using level 1 ASD needs to gain sympathy and understanding from the jury and they won’t get that. Not in this case and it’s not even relevant to what he did. It’s clear to the jury why they are digging for literally anything to grasp on.

As gross and mind blowing as it is, I’m glad he is getting a defense so that he can rot without the option of saying he didn’t have one.

and certainly not because his limbic system made him do or his synapses fired wrong or any other bullcrap explanation the state would like the jury to believe.

Imagine being like - fed ex you need to provide extra staffing to every employee you’ve ever had because everyone on earth has problems and it’s your responsibility

I think the defense testimonies are crap too and totally disrespectful to Athena and her parents, But I did take what Blurry Beth said about 'this young man (Uggh), should not blah blah' to mean his parents/grandparents should have got him more help sooner, not fedex.....

I can't not think that now.

Athena asked him, "why are you doing this?"

She knew, at 7, it was immensely wrong. (So did he.)

I'd like to see these Defense witnesses address her directly. This is why he did this to you....

Ugh, all of this.
