That's always possible. But he talks about being a psychopath since childhood, he wishes he was sorry but he's not, etc. I'd imagine he expands on that a little bit. I don't know... I just want to hear what HE has to say, and not what others (Manley's) opinions are about what they heard him say, if that makes sense.

I do think this was his reason and he is telling us.
"Conditt is heard describing himself on the recording as a psychopath who has been mentally ill since childhood."
I think he knew he was sick for a very long time and decided he wanted to end it all and go out in a Grand Finale.
He says something very telling.
"I wish I were sorry but I am not."
This tells me he cannot feel empathy or remorse for the things he does. He was a true psychopath in every sense and he knew it. He wanted to end his life and decided to do it in a grandiose fashion.
I dont think this will be any more complex than that IMO.
