Sherry has reportedly been arrested five times in Williamson County, according to Texas arrest records. Her most recent recorded arrest in Texas occurred in 2011. The charges against her primarily include public intoxication, possession of marijuana, aggravated assault with a weapon, and disorderly conduct.

Austin Police say Curtis' cause of death was ruled atherosclerotic and hypertensive cardiovascular disease with the manner of death being natural.
