Balch Springs mom arrested for ‘severely malnourished’ daughter’s death

When a call for help finally came in, it was too late. Paramedics found 19-year-old Delilah Villegas dead. Police noticed an outline of her body on the concrete floor, indicating she had been in the same fetal position for a long period of time.

Balch Springs police said they got a 911 call on Feb. 14 from the mother of 19-year-old Delilah Villegas. Crystal Canales reported that her daughter was having trouble breathing.

Shockingly apparently her gran and uncle lived in this home too and done nothing for Delilah.

“It was, as described, skin-to-bone,” he said of Villegas' condition, explaining that she also had “large lacerations exposing decaying limbs, and even some of the bones from her shoulder, and on her arm, and her leg.”

Villegas looked like she was in a “mummified” state, Gonzalez continued, adding that her shoulder bone was “protruding out."
