On April 27th, a package was found outside a Starbucks. An employee brought it inside and then read a note attached and brought it back outside and police were called.

The device, believed to be a legitimate explosive device, was rendered safe by the FBI and ATF Bomb Technicians, while Port Arthur Fire Department EOC K-9 helped render the establishment safe.

And then today...

Sometime between the end of worship Wednesday evening and the beginning of school this morning, a package detonated outside the office door of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Beaumont. No one was injured in the blast, which “broke out windows, put holes in the office walls and blew apart the bushes lining the entrance,” said the Rev. Steven Balke, rector of St. Stephens.Episcopal Church that has a school behind it.

It is just so surreal when it happens in YOUR town. My doctor's office is like 2 blocks from the church and I was just there yesterday evening. It was still blocked off and they have it blocked off today too.
