San Antonio mom, autistic sons still missing; family growing desperate

I'm missing the date in title. My iPad is very laggy. Sorry. If someone can fix Tia

SAN ANTONIO — Family and friends said a woman who tried and failed to get a protective order is now missing.

Pamela Allen said her longtime friend, 50-year old Belen Elizondo, disappeared without a trace Sunday evening.

"She's a mom who has been homeless for about four months. She does not have the money or the funding to travel anywhere. She doesn't have the ability to run," Allen said.
Also missing are the woman's two special needs boys. "The biggest concern is that there are two young boys that function maybe as a five-year-old and a four-year-old," Allen said. "They are 16 and 10, they have autism, they also have epilepsy, they are moderately functioning and now this."

Oh no, I'm very concerned for this family. From further down in that article...

[...]

Allen said Elizondo came to visit her on Saturday, telling a terrifying story of domestic violence.

[...]

Allen said Elizondo went to the northeast San Antonio Police Department substation Friday to get a protective order because of an escalating domestic violence situation, but time ran out and the paperwork was not fully processed. The order was not issued or served on the man who had been giving Elizondo problems, according to Allen.

Sunday, Allen said, the drama moved to a motel on Perrin Beitel where Elizondo had taken refuge. Allen said the man showed up and demanded attention.

Allen said "He was very persistent trying to get in and that's when she called the police. She had even texted me and said, 'Please call the police right now! He's here! He's here!' and she thought he was going to be arrested. The officer said 'No we can't arrest him, we don't have anything in our system that says there's a protective order, nor has he been served.'"

Allen said she made arrangements for her friend to get into a shelter and they talked about a fresh start.

Allen said Elizondo and the boys never made it to the shelter. Now, Allen said, the woman's phone is dead and the trail is cold.

On Tuesday night, police released images of the family vehicle they said is also missing. It’s a black GMC Yukon Denali. The license plate number is FHT8426. According to public records, it's a 2007 model of the vehicle.

Search party underway on Northeast Side for missing mother, two autistic sons
[...]

The community is coming together and businesses along Perrin Beitel have let volunteers put up flyers with pictures of missing Belen Elizondo and her two sons.

Elizondo and her two sons, 10-year-old Moises and 17-year-old Salvador have been missing for four days now. They were last seen at the Inn Town Suites on Perrin Beitel Sunday.

[...]

Allen says there is no way she would just take off without telling her family.

“She wouldn’t do this to her daughters. She wouldn’t leave her daughters in the state of mind, being so afraid and so scared. And then to know that her sons are in need of medical help all the time I don’t believe that she’d do this.” Allen said.

Thank you PMommy! I’m very worried too.
I just don’t feel like she is hiding.
I really messed up the title. I hope a mod can fix it. Hopefully will get more attention.

You're welcome. I don't think she's hiding either. If she had somewhere else to go, I don't think she would have made plans to go to the shelter. And, she has daughters too!

Did you alert a mod to fix the thread title? It's not so bad but it would help if we could get TX added as the thread prefix. MOO

SAPD seeks information on missing mother and her two autistic sons after she doesn't show up to Battered Women's Shelter - Texas Breaking News
[...]

It was said by Allen that Elizondo had filed a protective order last week from her husband and had made plans to seek help from the Battered Women’s Shelter but never arrived.

In a Facebook post by Pamela Allen, she stated, “On Sunday she had to call the police on a man that she had a relationship with because he violated a protective order. There have been several incidents of domestic violence. The police let him go because they couldn’t find the order.”

Elizondo was last seen on Sunday, June 9 at the Inn Town Suites on Perrin Beitel, according to SAPD. A search of the area is expected for Thursday morning.

Oh dear! This doesn't sound good at all. I hope they are found soon and are safe. Maybe they found a safe place to hide from him. Please let it be something like this.

I don’t think this is the case unfortunately- I’m reading through the few articles it seems she had no money, no gas and was trying to get away from someone who was after her IMO - if they haven’t questioned the man who was threatening her yet I am afraid for her and her kids. I hope folks in the area will look for her vehicle

She didn't run off voluntarily. Where can you go with no money and 2 special needs sons who need stability? Someone intervened when she tried to go to the shelter, IMO. :(

How in the hell are they not able to arrest him because they don't have her protection order in the system?? FOUR DAYS, no word from her doesn't sound good unfortunately.

Statistically speaking, the most dangerous time for a woman in an abusive relationship is when she is trying to leave.

I hope she is hiding somewhere, but it doesn't sound like she is the type of person who wouldn't let her friend who is helping her know where she is or that she is okay. Plus, she has other children. So sad......prayers for her and the boys!

This makes me hopping mad! Beyond anger!

This woman called for help and protection, as a citizen! She is entitled to that help and protection! Court order or not, if she felt that both her and her sons were in danger, the very least that they could have done was to keep him at the hotel while someone escorted her and her sons to a safe place!

I can't believe this garbage! I am praying that her and her boys are safe and sound, but I sincerely doubt that she would have texted her friend for help, then went dark afterwards phone wise, and not let her friend know that she was ok!

Where is that brute............gggrrrr!

Oh and my prayers go out to her daughters! I hope they are safe and sound somewhere- how frightening for them.

Her friend said she was going to take some of her belongings to storage and just keep a few clothes with her when she went to the shelter. I wonder where her storage unit is located and if she ever made it there? MOO

Was she homeless because she fled from the family home because of the abuse? Or where they all homeless?
Anyone read any msm on this?
