Wow. Praying this family has found a safe hiding spot. Hoping the lack of contact is due to her putting safety a priority.

Esmie Elizondo

Daughter's FB - someone made a comment that she has friends in Mexico. Hopefully she is hiding in Mexico until it is safe to return since she didn't receive help from LE. I hope this is true.
She seems like a lovely lady on her FB.
They mentioned that she had family there, but I sincerely doubt she's there. Something happened to her, in my opinion, after the call to the police, who did nothing to protect her and her sons.

Daughter concerned after mother, 2 autistic sons disappear

PA said Elizondo reached out to her on Sunday. She said that was the last time she heard from Elizondo.

“I said ‘OK, I found you a place at the women's shelter. Call them and let them start services. Belen, this is a chance for you to be able to start again.’ We were all so excited, but not only did she not make it to the shelter, she didn’t make it to the storage she said she was going to drop her clothes off first.”

Belen Elizondo filed a police report on May 29 against her husband of one year, IG, for a domestic violence incident that happened three days prior.

A preliminary police report stated IG became angry during an argument about him talking to other women on his phone. Elizondo told her husband that she was calling police but didn't actually dial, according to the report. IG then allegedly pushed her to the floor, causing her to bruise on her arms and torso, according to the report.

San Antonio police said they do not suspect foul play in the disappearance of Elizondo and her two sons.

“How do you as a family member just sit and wait? How do you just sit and wait for something to happen? That is not right,” PA said.

“It is such a scary feeling,” EE said. “I just feel like my mom is in danger."

On Thursday, police issued an arrest warrant for IG in connection with the domestic violence incident that occurred on May 26. Galicia is not a suspect or person of interest in the disappearance of Elizondo and her two sons.

They don't suspect foul play? Really? Did I sincerely read this?

There's no way they tracked her phone already, so how do they know there's no foul play?

Just how do they think this woman and her sons are eating, sleeping, etc?

I doubt if she was safe, her daughter and her friend would report her missing! They wouldn't draw attention to her like that in the media!

I only have hope that an “underground” network helping abused women is helping her. Does that even happen still or have I watched too many movies?

Being a victim of domestic violence this story really upsets me.
I had my ex arrested multiple times and protection orders are a joke.
In my experience many law enforcement don't do much with dv because so many woman just go right back (I did many times)
I pray for her and her boys.

This is scary. If he does have them, I don’t want any of them hurt. But, I would hope he’d not kill the 2 sons!

Praying for this brave Mom and her sons. Hope they are tucked away somewhere safe. There's lots of women out there that made it out and are always willing to lend whatever support they can
Bless you all !

She was only married for a year to this man.

Oh this is wrong on so many levels! It’s a sad truth in our society that often officials blame the victim/don’t take the situation seriously for woman and certain segments of the population. I’ve experienced here in NC when trying to help a friend get away from an abusive husband.

Praying for this beautiful family.

Some evidence or witness testimony emerged? I dunno.

It's enough to make you want to throw something, isn't it?
