Hi-I am followuing this case and I have a question: are they SURE he is young? I have a reason to ask this. Just want to make sure.......thanks in advance.

Texas Mist and Txsvicki--What are you hearing down in the good state of Texas? Why is there absolutely NOTHING other than this single article about the DNA results.

This is perplexing to me. I would think that all the news sources would be picking this story up.

Miss......I am so happy you are staying with this case-yur posts are brilliant. I am in the capitol city of Texas. I called 311 the other night cause I got scared.....I rent a room from an 84 year old lady-she moved out and I am here alone. I am in my late '5-'s and there is a registered S.O. living ONE BLOCK AWAY from me who sexually attacked an 81 year old lady some years back. Now this guy is young-but he is listed on the Tx DPS website as a 'low-risk'. My landlady has moved out and I am here in the room alone. It is scary. But I don't think the perp is hitting in Austin.
I had another reason for asking whether or not the unsub is defined as 'young'-a totally differnet reason-intersting though.
Anyway-when I called 311 I called them cause when I stepped outside to have a smoke-a motion light went off on the property and I got scared. But the scariest part was when they transferred me to 911 the 911 call takes had NEVER HEARD OF THE TWILIGHT RAPIST! I was appalled but she assured me she would ask her supervisor about it. I just think the general public doesn't pay attention to anything unless it hits close to home. It makes me crazy! I feel like I am a walking APB for family and friends! And they probably think I am crazy lol.

Well O am going off to another thread and I will check in later. I will go ahead and say the reason why I wanted to know if LE is sure the guy is young. Google 'TXCLOCKNUT'.....is is a 58 year old male from a small town north of Austin. He is posting on a singles webpage, also seems to have an e-bay business, and also....-well you will find out if you google that. Hate to put so much emphasis on the clocks...seems silly who knows?

I am so sorry for all the mispelled words-my keyboard keys are nearly invisible-I need a new one lol. Be safe ladies!

I haven't heard & can't find any updates other than the KEYE-tv update you found....I just wrote to Fox7 Austin & asked them to please followup on this.

I'm going to write some other stations, too and will let you know if I hear anything.

Also, I checked TX DPS website last nite for a press release & didn't see anything about it there, either.

Not that I don't trust KEYE, but like you say, it's good to 'hear' this from other sources.

Man, they are trickling in:

http://www.kbtx.com/home/headlines/82980122.html

This is not fair to the people of Texas. I know that thousands of older women and their loved ones are on edge due to this creep. The people want updates, folks. Wake it up!!

I'd hate to hear that some woman let down her guard or penned her dog up tonight as she thought the guy was caught.

Starry Night--An interesting find but I do think he's young from what all the women have said. We've read that he's slender, dark-skinned, in his 20's, and between 5'6"-6' tall.

I checked out the guy you mentioned and ebay has changed so much recently, I couldn't get a good handle on what he's been purchasing. Isn't that shocking that you can see what people have recently purchased? I did see that he's bought some things from someone selling electronic equipment and accessories.

I'm really not thinking though that our guy is 58. This guy might not actually be 58, though. That's a possibility. Did you happen to notice what town he's in?

I haven't read anything else in the local online paper, except for that last article where the dna is being rushed.

He is in Pflugerville. I don't mean to send off red herrings... but people are weird online eh?

Starry Night--I lived north of you in Liberty Hill for 14 years. My Mom is in Cedar Park and she has a tendency to wander outside of her nursing home. She doesn't smoke but says she needs to just to be let outside. I worry so about her as she's indiscriminately friendly with everyone (the beginnings of dementia).

If I were you, I'd call a supervisor or fire off an email concerning that dispatcher's lack of knowledge about the Twilight Rapist. That's unacceptable. The DPS works for you and it's their job to keep you safe and informed. You're capable and quite young (yes!!) but just imagine if a frail and much older woman called. They need to respond to people's very real fears and be ready to move fast to catch this guy.

I have to say that I've been more than a little surprised by the lack of new info and updates in the last few days. No one can tell me that every lady over 50 in Texas is not talking about this guy. This is a huge part of the population and it's shocking that they are not responding to our concerns. Even if they know nothing, other than the DNA outcome, they need to let us know. IIRC, the last press release on the DPS website was from 1/21/10. That doesn't fly for me.

You stay safe. I remember Pflugerville well. It used to be just a wide spot in the road. The Austin Lounge Lizards sang a great song about it. Try telling someone in California or Oregon that there really is a place named that. The song always proved it for me.

Playing off the clues that Starry Night posted, I found this:

http://www.backintimeclockrepair101.com/

This place is in Round Rock, adjacent to Pflugerville, right? I remember my parents having their grandfather clock serviced by this place. It took forever and the guy came out several times to my parents' place in Liberty Hill. I wonder if there could be anything to this?

Many clock repairmen come to the house so as to not disturb the big clocks or to change their environments (they're as picky as African violets!!). I wonder if the rapist might be a repairman or a helper and called at these ladies' houses days or even weeks before the rapes? I remember when the repairman would come when I was younger (in high school), he'd spend like an hour tinkering with the clock. I just ignored him and went on about my day. My parents got their clock in 1970 and were very dedicated to it until they gifted it (with my blessings) to my older half-brother a couple of years ago. These things require a lot of upkeep. As I said earlier, the ticking drove me nuts. But why would someone steal that Asian made German replica clock which doesn't look to be worth very much--unless it has some sort of value which we are unaware of?

Missizzy-you freaking amaze me with your knowledge.....I will keep your mom in my prayers.
I hope that ALL LE keep each other informed-but apparently NOT! I was shocked that the 911 call taker had never heard of the Twilight Rapist! How stupid is that? Not on her part of course, but on the part of LE who should take Public Safety to the highest degree and share knowledge of all State perps in their daily briefings/meetings. I mean-WORD UP. Tell the nursing homes, the Independent Living Centers, the Assisted Living places, the local churches etc. Heck-tell LUBY'S!!!!! .

I think he took it for a souvenir.

Here's a photo of the owner of this shop. He's actually pretty cute, IMO.

http://www.backintimeclockrepair101.com/faqs.html

Scroll down to the very bottom. If I remember correctly, this man works alone. I don't remember my parents ever mentioning any helpers. I guess it's possible that he does have a helper or even a son but I haven't seen anything. My parents' impression, and another review I read, rate this guy very high. I have a feeling that this is a dead end...unless you need a good clock guy.

It is (:34 pm here and I have to get to bed soon and I dread it. Cause if I keep the fan on that is good noise but then I might not hear someone coming in-I g=feel so isolated and alone and vulnerable-I have no dog-no weapon. Once or twice I g=have kep my iron plugged in and given myself a pep-talk before I go to bed -just in case-this is the plight of women alone .....I am one of them and this case scares me becaude of course I thought I was out of the age where someone would want to attack me. Tambling thoughts here-gearing up for another scary night in my bed...I always end up saying to myself that-oh well-if they or he comes in to get me then just get it over with and hope to God ot os not a sadist......I rely on God to get me through it-that and my Holy Water (yes I am Catholic lol) but I am OUT of Holy Water tonight.
My mim used to keep 'robber money' in her house.......just in case. So that is how we plan and plot our nights-we women over 50 who are alone. I seriously need an big friggin dog.

I about spit my wine all over the laptop when you said Luby's. I swear I've spent thousands of my adult years inside Luby's as that's my parents' favorite place to eat. I didn't leave Texas until after we had five kids so I know just how to get the wheeling high chairs and the bibs and the available choices for the Lou-Ann platter. Oh, what I wouldn't do for some fried okra and pecan pie right now. Oregonians don't even know what okra is. They sure as heck have never heard of sweet tea either. LOL

I'll tell you--you get a sketch of this guy and hang it up in the Luby's, he'll get caught.

I love Texas songwriters and one of my favorite lines and one I borrow frequently is from Robert Earl Keen and Lyle Lovett's "The Front Porch Song"--"Give the Presmyterians somethin' to talk about on their way to Luby's". Never fails to crack me up.

I can assure everyone out there (who's not from Texas) that the "Presmyterians" and everyone else in Texas IS talking about this guy. His days are numbered.

Miss- that guy is cute lol. The reason I told u abou the TXCLOK guy is because he had suscribed to some 🤬🤬🤬🤬 sort of site.even thoug he was 58. That set off my hinky thing......
Seems like we need to start where the attacks started and Poteet tells the tale........hmmmm. Some random dude living with his family=but he travels!!!! A truck driver of some sort? Fed-Ex-UPS- odd hours for sure and a safe, secure cover Miss-works for HEb?? or Bordens? Some regular delivery route.......

Starry Night--Please know that we are all thinking of you and sending strong and brave thoughts. Keep a light on, set a cookie sheet leaned up against the door, play your radio a little louder than usual, and keep the holy water nearby--whatever helps. Is your cell under your pillow? You'll be fine.

And a suggestion. You don't need a big dog. I have 7 tiny poodle and chihuahua rescues. I'd like to see someone get into my house. They'd raise the roof. It's the sound of the bark not the bite which scares bad guys off. There's always a house that's more quiet. A little dog can be quite a deterrent and a great pillow-mate!!

You sleep tight.

Misthe dude gets around.....4 counties atleast-he has traveling money-I say he has a job. I bet he works for the government lol-not really laffing-cuz it says he is doing this on Fed money or State. Hmm. He HAS to have access to the ladies info Miss-he has to. These attacks are so specific. What if he is with some Church Group. That has lists. And they go out and evangelize, This is a serious predator. He is on a tear and he must be stopped b4 he hurts worse. He is calculated and deliberate and someone out there must know a person with weird behaviour. Although it would be easy to hide from a lovd one if his job is to travel

Starry Night--From what I've seen and read, guys are more likely to be middle aged than in their twenties when they sign up for most 🤬🤬🤬🤬 sites. The younger guys are often more computer savvy and know how to access it for free. JMO
