POLICE ARE LOOKING FOR ERIK DIAZ-TAPIA, WHITE MALE, 19 YEARS OLD, 06/24/2000, 6'0", 190 LBS, BLACK HAIR, BROWN EYES AND UNKNOWN CLOTHING, IN CONNECTION WITH HER ABDUCTION.

THE SUSPECT IS DRIVING A RED OLDER MODEL 4 DOOR SEDAN, POSSIBLY A PONTIAC.

THE SUSPECT WAS LAST HEARD FROM IN DEL RIO, TX.

LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS BELIEVE THIS CHILD TO BE IN GRAVE OR IMMEDIATE DANGER.

The Monitor reported that police believe Perez may be in grave or immediate danger. Whether Perez and Diaz-Tapia know one another remains undisclosed. It’s also unclear what prompted authorities to issue an AMBER Alert nearly a month after Perez’s disappearance.

It’s interesting that she went missing on a Monday at 12 when you would think she would have been in school. Her last seen address is not a school and looks to be a house.

DPS says the girl was last seen in the 200 block of West Drive in Val Verde Park at 12 p.m. on September 9.

Details about the circumstances of the abduction were not released and it was not immediately clear why it took nearly a month to issue an amber alert

The suspect has been identified as Erik Diaz-Tapia. He’s described as a 19-year-old white male with black hair and brown eyes, standing 6 feet tall and weighing 190 pounds.
